Job Summary
The Facilities Coordinator II, under general supervision, administers routine, preventative, and planned facility maintenance. Keeps buildings in safe, secured condition and in constant working order. Maintains mechanical and electrical operations, HVAC, architecture, and landscaping to ensure building is a comfortable and safe facility for faculty, staff, students, and guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Orders and installs facility equipment.
Maintains equipment, equipment check, and troubleshooting. Maintains the general supply inventory and equipment storage including organizing and maintaining storage facilities.
Prepares required work orders for electrical, plumbing, custodial, carpentry, key, and sign shops to perform work required to maintain facilities for instructional use.
Assists staff and faculty with facility requests, including furniture/equipment moving and assembling.
Promotes safe building access practices for faculty, staff, and student workers, providing reminders as necessary and reporting incidents or accidents, when required, if safety rules are compromised.
Reports fire drills and emergency evacuation drills. Serves as a contact for after-hours building emergencies.
Tags new acquisitions and proper disposal of unusable furniture/equipment. Maintains accurate inventory records and performs annual departmental inventory certification for submission to Property Management. Coordinates requests for rekeying entry access and requests for additional keys to a location.
May train and supervise students and temporary workers to meet demands of facility use.

Additional Responsibilities
Supervises all aspects of assigned program(s).
Assists in recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, supervising, and evaluating assigned personnel.
May complete payment transactions and receipt credit cards for the payment of memberships or special services.
Responsible for assisting the Associate Director in managing, overseeing and supervising the daily operations of Dusty's Den (Game Room), Recreation Center, and Summer Camp programming.
Responsible for coordinating Rec Center facility reservations.
Responsible for scheduling and aligning various outreach programs and activities within Rec Sports programming (preview days, facility tours, career days, Dusty Camp, etc.) which align with University recruitment efforts.
Manages special events, including scheduling and training special event staff.
Responsible for maintaining current certification(s)/licensure(s) required as a condition of employment and providing valid and legitimate proof of certification(s)/licensure(s) to the supervisor prior to the expiration date(s) of certification(s)/licensure(s).
Minimum Requirements
Preferred Education and Experience
Master's degree.
Prior supervisory experience including hiring, training, supervising and staff development.
Experience in establishing, leading and evaluating employee training and leadership workshops with an emphasis on student development.
CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
Knowledge and Abilities
