The Alaka'ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) has a need for a Facilities Coordinator to provide facility planning/coordination support to a Naval program out of Panama City, FL.


  • Conducting site visits prior to scope development to aid in formulating scope and statement of work.

  • Conducting site visits as required during the bidding/award process, and work completion as required.

  • Performing building assessments in order to prepare cost estimates and planning documentation.

  • Submitting a report of site visit findings within predetermined time-frame.

  • Participating in requirements generation and brainstorming meetings with program personnel; interfacing with end-users to understand requirements.

  • Attending meetings with the Facilities team on a weekly basis; Participating in design reviews; Attending post-award kick-off, contract kickoff, red-zone, and other similar meetings as scheduled in conjunction with project award.

  • Ensuring all communications reach designated personnel.

  • Submitting informal notifications via email/phone as required.

  • Technically supporting the program Facilities team in generating requirements.

  • Interfacing with end users to understand requirements.

  • Technically supporting the Facilities team in reviewing scopes of work for accuracy and completion; reviewing concurrence memos, and contracts. for accuracy and completion.

  • Completing all reviews within one week of receipt.


  • Must be able to communicate and understand English.


  • At least 2-5 years of experience with knowledge in construction engineering, architecture, State of Florida and local building codes, regulations, and laws is preferred.

  • Effective communication (face-to-face, and by phone, email, and formal reports) is preferred.

  • Capability of responding to requests within reasonable, pre-established time-frames is preferred.

  • Experience with developing/participating in design charrettes is preferred.

  • Experience working with the Department of Defense (DoD) is preferred.

  • Knowledge of DoD/U.S. Government organization, funding, and requirements is preferred.


  • Must be a US Citizen.

The Facilities Manager will be responsible for supervision of personnel in a dynamic environment and will be expected to manage, schedule, track and report the status of the facilities. The Facilities Manager will determine, recommend and implement a method for the support required to maintain operations while also meeting the Naval Surface Warfare Center – Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) priorities and the Department of Defense (DoD) and Navy requirements. Essential functions will include: * Will work to determine feasibility of requested completion times relative to other support work * Plan, schedule and coordinate facilities support to meet requested delivery dates * Analyze facilities job orders to determine priority and ensure the proper procedures are completed as quickly and accurately as possible * Check completed work for quality and accuracy Bowhead seeks to network with qualified individuals relative to a potential opportunity, which is contingent upon award and not currently funded. Requirements • A High School diploma or equivalent is required at a minimum, however an Associate's degree or higher is preferred * Must have at least five to seven (5 to 7) years of experience, preferably in a military role, but at least in a civilian role supervising diverse personnel * Demonstrable experience prioritizing and scheduling work is required * Demonstrable experience supervising, responding to and interacting with a diverse group of customers and users is required * Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint * Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
