The Facilities Associate Manager, Plant Operations & Maintenance (POM) will help leadership plan, administer and direct all activities related to POM and be in compliant with the standards established by Aramark and the client. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other departments to provide a unified approach to POM management.

The Facilities Associate Manager, POM will support the development & growth of hourly associates. Will also focus on meeting and exceeding operating goals, client objectives and customer needs, and delivering the services Aramark is contracted to provide.

  • Will manage hourly associates within a POM department

  • Will assist with managing labor costs, supply costs and inventories

  • Maintain and use capital equipment efficiently

  • Ensures compliance with all contract obligations

  • Supports the effective implementation of the comprehensive Safety Plan, helps with driving full compliance of all safety rules, guidelines and protocols

  • May conduct operational audits and helping to ensure a high level of execution and compliance

  • Drive operational efficiencies, labor/scheduling productivity

  • Drive a positive work environment and utilize effective communication skills at all levels of the organization

  • May be responsible for the training, development and performance management of hourly associates

  • Will support compliance with Aramark Facilities Services and regulatory agency standards and programs and translating corporate strategy into front line operational tactics and will ensure compliance with all OSHA regulations and other, local, state, and federal government regulations

  • May lead the development of the hourly team ensuring high performance, optimal staffing and employee engagement

  • Establishes and maintains effective communications and business relationships

  • Will use WebTMA modules to properly support the operation


  • Bachelor Degree from an accredited university/college

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in POM management required

  • Working knowledge of facility related equipment such as boilers, chillers, generators, HVAC/R required

  • Facilities Management Certification such as Certified Plant Maintenance Manager (CPMM) or equivalent is strongly preferred

  • Proficient in the use and functionality of WebTMA

  • Minimum of 2 years prior experience in mentoring and developing hourly associates is required

  • High degree of integrity and business maturity

  • Previous P&L experience is preferred

  • Demonstrated time management skills resulting in prioritizing time and resources accordingly

  • Ideal candidates will possess a high energy level that is communicated to the hourly team they will help lead

  • Demonstrate proven success in interfacing with a variety of organizational functions and considerable negotiation skills are also needed to drive results

  • The ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer services is a key success measure

  • Strong interpersonal, analytical and communication (written and verbal) skills are essential for success in this role

  • Candidates must possess a demonstrated attention to detail and ability to lead directly and through influence

VIEW JOBS 3/19/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-06-17T00:00 Overview Position Summary: Under indirect supervision of the reginal Operations manager, the Lead Building Engineer will oversee and coordinate the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all building systems, specifically technical and facility operations. This position is responsible for operating and maintaining all HVAC and MEP equipment, as well as serve as a Facility manager by performing and supervising maintenance work at all the company's facilities. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Operate and maintain all HVAC and MEP equipment under the direction of the Operations Manager to assure proper building functions. * Maintains superior appearance and working condition of all the MEP systems assigned and is responsible for recommending cost effective and efficient improvements for this maintenance. * Respond to, prioritize and complete assigned work orders via the CMMS work order tracking system. * Assists in complying with all City, State and Federal safety and environmental laws, codes, standards and regulations. * Responsible for maintaining an accurate and up to date equipment database and all associated PM schedules and procedures for the preventive maintenance program in the CMMS. * Order, stock, and maintain an inventory of parts and supplies needed for the continuous operation of the site. * Induce water treatment chemicals in the heating and cooling systems at the proper amounts and times and perform chemical analysis. * Perform and recommend preventative maintenance and repairs on all mechanical equipment as outlined by the Operations Manager to include, but not limited to; pumps, chillers, cooling towers, boilers, air compressors, etc. * Repair/maintenance of other building equipment including but not limited to; doors, walls, ceilings, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, roofs, locks and keys. * Coordination and communications with Day Porter/Janitorial Staff as necessary. * Compose written, factual reports of occurrences and incidents on property. * Supervise and coordinate contractor activities as directed by the Operations Manager. Qualifications & Required Experience: * High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. * Minimum of 5 years' related experience and/or training as a Lead Building Engineer, Facilities Manager or equivalent. * Advanced working knowledge of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical control devices and BAS systems. * Possess competent knowledge on the methods, tools, and equipment used in the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment and systems. * Ability to read blueprints, schematics, shop manuals, and drawings to aid in troubleshooting analysis. * Ability to read and use all types of test equipment, analog digital multi-meters, pressure and temperature indicating and recording devices, air flow measuring devices, and leak detection devices. * Must be proficient in the use of a personal computer, handheld communication device and knowledge of CMMS software. Desired Skills: * Knowledge of local and State of Michigan building and occupancy codes * Working knowledge of construction methods and codes * Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge preferred * The successful candidate must have knowledge of HVAC and Electrical systems operation, BAS operation, maintenance, repair, codes and installation and be able to troubleshoot and repair such systems.
