About the role

  • The Facilities Associate is responsible for ensuring all Sage Health Centers in the region are safe, functional, and efficient to support business operations. The Facilities Associate manages all maintenance, repair, replacement, and warranty requests and works with vendors, suppliers, general contracts, manufacturers, and subcontractors to close out requests quickly and efficiently. The Facilities Associate has overall responsibility for the day-to-day operational efficiency and maintenance of all building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety systems) for the centers in their region and must ensure that the centers' overall condition and appearance is maintained at the highest levels.

What you'll do

  • Provides hands-on field knowledge and experience of the daily operations for Sage Health facilities.

  • Oversee the completion of corrective and preventive maintenance work assignments for all facilities.

  • Organizes, prioritizes, and performs preventive maintenance inspections and repairs and other duties as assigned.

  • Program badges and assign credentials for staff in your assigned region in the Sage Health access control system.

  • Reviews and analyzes the periodic inspections of building systems, i.e., HVAC, electrical distribution, structural, vertical transportation, roofs, parapets, gutters and leaders, parking area, drainage, ramps, and approaches, irrigation, and Fire/Life Safety to determine more effective and cost-saving methods of preventative maintenance, repairs, and corrective actions.

  • Serves as one of the regional response managers, taking the lead during preparation, planning and rapid response during emergency situations as outlined in the Emergency Management Plan.

  • Conducts post-emergency evaluations, and creates a detailed assessment report, implements appropriate changes, as needed, and follows up with clinical staff, stakeholders/owner groups, affected business units, and property and facilities management staff.

  • Work closely with center managers to handle facilities requests, outreach to vendors and contractors for installation, repair, and replacement.

  • Responsible for scanning in inventory, checkout, and auditing assets in the Sage Health inventory management system.

  • Monitors internal cameras and panic alarms to quickly notify the right stakeholders of threats, theft, and other security related incidents.

  • Ensure compliance with all building regulations and permits for all regional centers. Ensure corrective action is taken quickly and efficiently for all violations requiring repairs to building systems

  • Oversees minor construction projects and utility upgrades at regional facility locations.

Qualifications

  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of all aspects of building systems operations, contractual maintenance, construction and related services, and Local Laws pertaining to building operations, codes, and safety.

  • A high level of functional/technical knowledge of building system operation is necessary and must have proficiency in plumbing, HVAC, and electrical distribution systems.

  • A high level of functional/technical knowledge of carpentry, painting, wallpaper, and furniture repair.

  • Must be able to prepare and present detailed reports on building operations and systems, as well as to write professional business correspondence.

  • Ability to quickly define problems, gather and assess relevant data and information, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to implement solutions and repairs.

  • Highly organized and skilled with time management and proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Strong customer service skills to provide the highest level of patient satisfaction.

  • Manage inventory including construction material, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting supplies, repair parts, and hand and power tools within budgetary parameters.

  • Ability to travel as needed to Sage Health centers in the region.

  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or related field preferred; or Associate's degree, or equivalent of 2 years of academic program with certification of completion as technician from accredited technical school; or at 4 years' experience as facilities associate, technician or coordinator role.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in facilities/property maintenance, engineering and / or critical systems, installation, and operation of Building Systems (HVAC, plumbing, Fire/Life Safety, etc.) and understanding of skilled trades and putting together computer hardware and peripherals.

  • Experience in a healthcare facility preferred.

  • Must possess a valid Driver's License.
