We are seeking a Facilities Associate to assist our busy Buildings and Facilities department based in Westerly, RI. Proficient skills in all areas of maintenance and repair and the ability to work independently are necessary.
Safely perform maintenance (including thorough cleaning and minor repairs).
Vacuum, change light bulbs, minor carpentry and plumbing work.
Use of appropriate PPE as necessary for personal safety.
Perform basic painting.
Move large office furniture and equipment and/or relocating offices.
Utilize standardized checklist to document daily work performed.
Perform daily duties to include: opening or closing of Bank entrances, washing windows, turning lights on/off, and cleaning ATM machines.
Report all observed maintenance issues directly to Supervisor.
Perform light housekeeping of the areas surrounding the garage.
Snow removal shoveling of sidewalks.
High School diploma or GED.
5 years previous facilities maintenance experience, including general knowledge of HVAC, carpentry, electrical and plumbing.
Demonstrated good quality communication and interpersonal skills. Communication with bank customers must be tactful and professional.
Must have current driver's license and clean driving record.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
Required to safely use both step ladders and extension ladders.
The work is subject to all environmental conditions, inside and outside.
Expected to have a flexible schedule and work extra hours to provide a safe environment
for internal and external customers. On call one week a month.
