Job Description Job Description Essential Functions: · Studies and reviews work orders or detailed specifications of work to be performed · Sets up and operates all machines (saws, benders, mills, etc) within department · Works closely with Leadership and Engineering to solve job-related problems · Reads, interprets, and builds from shop orders, blue prints, and CAD models · Fabricates to quality specifications · Checks all critical dimensions using calipers, height gauges, angle finders or protractors to order specification · Performs predictive/preventative maintenance as necessary · Works closely with leadership team to develop and drive continuous improvement activities · Maintains an organized and clean working environment utilizing 5S principles · Complete all required training applicable to assigned position · Assists in the training and development of others · Performs job in accordance with regulatory requirements · Adheres to all safety policies · Additional duties as requested or required Qualifications: · High School graduate or equivalent · Two years trade training or equivalent · Previous metal fabrication experience required · Demonstrated skills to perform complex fabrication operations (non-fixtured, “build-in-space”) · Ability to read and build from complex and modified engineering drawings or CAD models · Ability to operate measurement equipment · Self-motivated individual who can work well with others in a constantly changing environment · Effective communication skills that exhibit the willingness to be flexible yet decisive while maintaining a daily positive attitude · Demonstrated flexibility in attitude and willingness to work in all areas as needed · Demonstrated ability to understand and follow directions and work with minimal supervision · Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment · Ability to work overtime with little or no notice · Effective verbal and written communication skills · Ability to communicate basic information regarding processes and quality-related questions · Must have physical ability and manual dexterity necessary to perform the duties pertaining to job · Additional duties as requested or required Company Description Top End Sports is a premier manufacturer of adaptive sports equipment including racing wheelchairs, handcycles, and sports chairs.
