Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Senior Fabrication Specialist to support our mission in Charlotte, NC.
Performs machine set-up, machining, welding set-up, welding, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending and fabrication tasks.
Performs composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasks.
Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components.
Assembles, repairs, modifies and installs various power plants and drive trains.
Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products.
Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products.
Prepares test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests.
Performs difficult organic chemical conversion and paint preparation.
Applies organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements.
Works on complex components and systems using established drawings and requirements.
Interprets high level requirements to develop methods and work sequences to meet objectives.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
Minimum 5 years experience with complex, non-routine machining operations in a hands on capacity
Ability to lift 50 pounds in isolated instances
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills, and Experience):
TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED and typically 7 or more years' related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
