Responsibilities

Manager of manufacturing engineers engaged in whether the product can be produced, configuration control, quality of the product and the related processes.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • 5 plus years experience in a manufacturing engineer role

  • Min of 3 years estimating

  • Familiar with AS9100 and NADCAP requirements

  • Diverse Aerospace Experience

  • Proven ability to manage diverse work groups

  • MS Office skills

  • SAP working knowledge

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor, or Master degree in Material Science, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.

Responsibilities Supports and directs various job families to expedite fabrication of details and assemblies. Applies process management and improvement techniques. Uses problem-solving skills and analytical abilities to develop innovative and expedient solutions to fabrication problems. Facilitates work teams, provides training and interfaces with internal organizations and external customers with regard to project planning, problem resolution, and process improvement. Qualifications Required Skills: * 2yrs of experience in Aerospace, Industrial Engineering, hard and soft Chemical Finishing/Processing, Assembly or Machining * 2yrs of experience managing/supervising a team of 25 or more employees * 2+yrs in a leadership/management experience (industry or military) * 2+yrs of experience in manufacturing environment * Experience utilizing production metrics to make informed decision and drive results * Experience in Microsoft Office Suite * Prior experience working with multiple cross functional groups (Quality, Assembly, Procurement, Supply Chain etc.) * Prior management level experience reporting out to Senior Leadership on department production status * Flexibility working 2nd, 3rd, alternative work week and weekend shifts Preferred Qualifications: * Associates or Bachelor Degree * 5+yrs of experience in a leadership role * 5+yrs of experience in Aerospace, Automotive, Industrial Manufacturing, Chemical Finishing/Processing, Assembly or Machining * Prior SAP experience * Prior Military experience (management or leadership) * Understanding of a manufacturing production atmosphere Spirit AeroSystems is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital or civil partnership status, pregnancy, age, disability, veteran status or any other protected factor under federal, state or local law.
