We have a rare opportunity for a hardworking F119 Heavy Maintenance Center Quality Manager in our Midwest City, Oklahoma office, working at the Tinker Air Force base.

Job Description

  • Lead and own the F119 HMC quality team to ensure the accurate and timely performance of:

  • Part/Module Inspection (including First Article Inspection).

  • Non-conforming material processing (e.g. Quality Clinic and MRB processes)

  • Issuance and closure of Quality Notifications to repair sources for nonconforming repairs

  • Quality Escape Management

  • Compiling and monitoring performance metrics for inspection throughput and effectiveness

  • Coordinate with other Pratt & Whitney organizations, including: Logistics Program Management, Operations, Supply Chain, Materials, Customer Service Engineering, and MRO Engineering.

  • Build and maintain productive relationships with USAF OC-ALC counterparts in support of the HMC.

  • Develop a culture of continuous improvement utilizing P&W ACE principles, including the enhancement of departmental procedures and standard work

  • Participates/prepares for and supports group working events.

  • Train, mentor and coach other team members in the P&W Quality Management System.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Minimum 3 years aerospace experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in quality assurance or experience with the following: non conforming materials; first article inspection; MRB; leading continuous improvement

  • US Citizen due to government contracts

As the general manager, the employee will: * Oversee timely and cost effective maintenance, repair, overhaul & upgrade of F117, F119 & F135 engines thru a public-private partnership with the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex (OC-ALC) * Accomplish these objectives by directly overseeing 3 distinct operations managers (F117, F119, F135), an SAP ERP manager, an Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) specialist and a technical support engineer. * Facilitate the achievement of monthly, quarterly & annual production goals by attentively monitoring production output. * Coordinate closely with the OC-ALC Propulsion Maintenance Group (PMXG) on all matters regarding agreements, schedule, performance, infrastructure, technical requirements, workforce, training, tooling, support equipment, supply, shipping, transportation, quality assurance and any other items required to produce safe and timely engines. * Provide HMC input to annual production planning documents * Coordinate with and/or adhere to Pratt & Whitney guidance from local: o Quality o Logistics Program Management Teams o Environment, Health & Safety Offices o Engine Life Management Team o Global Services Engineering o International Trade Compliance o Ethics & Compliance * Foster a culture of continuous improvement utilizing P&W ACE principles * Coordinate with Quality to develop turnback or escape quarantine engine processes * Conduct/attend regular production/work-in-progress meetings * Develop a rolling, 5-year facilities and infrastructure plan * Oversee employee timekeeping, awards, discipline and leadership development * Represent P&W at a variety of ALC-level regularly scheduled meetings * Conduct tours that favorably characterize P&W capabilities * Participates/prepares slides for P&W OKC Operations regularly scheduled and ad hoc events: o Weekly Staff Meeting o Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Scheduling Meetings o Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Financial Scheduling Meetings o ACE Events The employee may be expected to travel less than 10% of the time and perform other related duties as directed.
