This position will have overall responsibility for ensuring fleet readiness for world wide customers operating the F100 through an organization of country fleet managers and field service representatives. This Regional position is for the America's Region. As the Regional Manager for the America's the position is key to sustaining fleet safety and readiness for (1500) operational F100-220/229 engines of the USAF, U.S. Navy, and Chilean Air Force.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for effective use of forecasting, materials management, and information systems to meet fleet requirements. Ensure critical issues are identified and addressed.

  • Accountable for achieving financial plans for revenue, inventory and margin. Interface with customers to determine future needs and support new sustainment business opportunities.

  • Responsible for utilizing resources within group and other organizations to manage effective processes, including (16) direct/indirect reports distributed throughout the U.S. and Chile.

  • Ensure the Fleet Readiness Excellence and safety processes are applied to keep assigned customer fleets safe and supportable

  • Focus internal support necessary to achieve 6.0 or higher customer scorecard ratings

  • Promote the effective use of supporting infrastructure such as forecasting, materials management, information systems, and standard work

  • Interface with customers and the F100 P&W Program Office to determine future customer needs and focus internal support necessary to achieve customer satisfaction.

  • Foster the ACE Principles and continuous improvement of fleet management systems and processes to minimize cost and to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Support export compliance activities for licenses/agreements within region.

  • Teamwork Work across organizational boundaries and encourage collaboration to achieve results

  • Technical Working knowledge of military engine operation, troubleshooting and maintenance. Technical understanding of propulsion systems and components. Business, Material and/or Logistics management knowledge

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Continuous improvement experience with ability to develop and implement standard work

Education: B.S. degree required; a MBA or advanced degree preferred

Requirements:

  • 7+ Years Experience in the Aerospace Industry
  • 3+ years in military/government customer support or logistics management
  • 2+ years in a direct supervisory role

This position will be stationed in East Hartford. Up to 20% domestic and international travel is required.

We at the F135 International Sustainment organization are responsible for leading teams in the execution of Performance Based Logistics contracts and providing propulsion system Logistics Program Management support for International fleets. As the primary propulsion sustainment interface to Norway, the Norway Logistics Program Manager (LPM) integrates the efforts of the internal support organizations (Production, Site Activation, Supply Chain Management, Customer Support Engineering, Support Equipment Operations, Fleet Management, etc.) to ensure readiness of the Royal Norwegian F135 fleet, that all aspects of fleet operations are sustained to the highest quality standards, and that all Norway-unique and Global Sustainment Solution requirements are met. As the F135 Norway LPM, a successful candidate will be expected to: * Manage Customer expectations and priorities * Provide logistics support and collaborate with the Customer from flight line interface to sustainment performance * Define and meet peculiar and non-peculiar sustainment requirements, ensuring Customer perspectives and needs are considered in plan development and contracting * Ensure funding is identified to meet Customer unique requirements * Evaluate and manage Customer-specific business metrics, operational metrics, forecasts and fleet management plans for retrofits and modifications * Provide written and verbal briefs/communications to internal & external stakeholders to status health and sustainability of the Norwegian fleet propulsion systems * Lead Norwegian-specific IPT to coordinate process execution with internal functional departments across the value stream (CSE, Engineering, SE, in-Country FSEs/team, SCM, fleet management, etc. ) * Integrate the external stakeholders to ensure Norway-specific Programmatic readiness and seamless sustainment solution (JPO, NOR MoD, LM, etc) * Occasional overtime and working outside of core business hours (due to time zone differences) may be required to meet program and customer needs. * Travel of approximately 20% Education/Certifications: * BA/BS degree in Engineering, Logistics or Management disciplines Experience/Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: * 7+ years in Engineering, Logistics or a Management disciplines * 5+ years with an advanced degree * US Citizen, due to federal contracts. * Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
