Summary: Reporting directly to the plant Quality Systems Manager and maintains a variety of quality and regulatory-related plant programs, including hold product inventory management, formulas, batch sheets, line check sheet maintenance, and plant audit systems.

Actively trains plant teams in all of these systems and may coordinate activities of plant teams involved in audits and product sample plans. Supports and works part time in the Micro lab.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Demonstrates a passion for the theory and application of Food Safety Maintain Employee Food Safety Awareness Coordinates the plant hold and release process. Knows how to hold and release with MATRICS.

Coordinates key elements of the HACCP process. Accesses and manipulates specifications within computerized corporate databases and translates those specifications into plant use documents. Knowledgeable in ingredients and finished products criteria and can evaluate quality characteristics.

Maintains supplier performance metrics in SAP and interacts with vendors on quality issues. Demonstrates a detailed knowledge of Document and Data Control as described within the QCMS Standard. Leads electronic data collection systems.

Reviews production documentation to ensure compliance to Quality and Food Safety requirements. Works with corporate to establish plant documentation is in place for new products and assist in the management of plant trials Works in the micro lab sorting and plating samples and assisting with calibrations as needed. Places order for materials and supplies in the Ariba system. Performs other duties as assigned.

This position also has accountability for QRMP standards as outlined in the Winchester Kraft Heinz QRMP accountability document.
