The Challenge:

Crave a challenge that is also rewarding? This is an operational support role to an active fighter unit; you will be responsible for the security and integrity of our systems that keep our jets flying.

It takes more than steel, advanced electronics and engine thrust to make the F-35 Lightning II, the world's fifth generation fighter, take flight. It is the Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) that gives F-35 Lightning II operators the ability to plan, to maintain, to plan and sustain its systems over the life of the air vehicle. ALIS provides the IT backbone and capabilities to support current and future Warfighters across the U.S. and allied military services.

This role is for an ALIS Administrator-Mission Planning Environment (MPE) for Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS).

The ALIS MPE Administrator performs MPE technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, supportability, and effectiveness analysis for total systems. Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, through coordination with other ALIS administrators.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Account administration, maintaining system documentation, maintaining system performance, installing system wide software and allocation of mass storage space.

  • Interact with customers, ALIS administrators, and ALIS leadership in support of the Mission Planning Support Environment (MPSE).

  • Provides, manages and supports the Mission Planning Support Boundary (MPSB):

  • Coordinate update Installs with customer and system technical leadership team

  • Support pilots in Mission Planning/Debriefing and identify/resolve system shortfalls

  • Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) installation and data updates

  • Support, administer, and monitor associated hardware/software and pilot accounts

  • Creation or assist in creation of mission and theater data loads

  • Perform CMPEEC duties and adhere to requirements

  • Provide pilots and ALIS administrators guidance on capabilities and usage of mission planning tools (e.g., JMPS, PCDS, PGMPS, and the PFA Tool) and TaskView

  • Perform mobile rack system & peripherals standup/teardown

  • Training MPE System Administration team and users as needed

This is an operational support role to an active fighter unit, so the selected candidate may be required to work at deployed CONUS/OCONUS locations, support rotating shifts, and work over 40 hours per week-which may include weekends-as dictated by mission requirements.

As critical members of the F-35 Operations Team all ALIS System Administrators must be able to:

  • Obtain and maintain Special Access Program clearance required for program access

  • Be willing and able to travel for military deployments/detachments (ship and/or shore) for extended periods dependent upon operational needs.

  • Capable of working various shift hours to include weekends to support customer mission requirements

Special Requirements:Deployments, TDY assignments

Basic Qualifications:

  • Active In Scope DOD Secret Clearance with investigation within last 6 years

  • COMSEC Experience

  • Prior 5th Gen Mission Planning experience (F-35 or F-22)

  • Windows System Administration Experience

  • Ability to obtain and retain DoD IAT Level II certification (Security+, CySA+, or CCNA)

  • Be willing and able to travel for military deployments/detachments (ship and/or shore) for extended periods dependent upon operational needs.

  • Capable of working various shift hours to include weekends to support customer mission requirements

Desired Skills:

  • Experience Troubleshooting Web Applications

  • JBOSS (WildFly) Application Server Familiarity

  • Experience with Administration of MS Windows Server Operating System

  • Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) or its replacement

  • Communication Security (CMPEEC) management

Experience with MPE Tasks:

  • JMPS image Installation and Configuration

  • Military Operations & Planning Processes (e.g. mission planning, post flight debriefing, etc.)

  • Perform data management of mission planning and mission recorded data.

  • Maintain and security logs and audit data.

  • Install and configure MPSE

  • Assist in managing GOTS for ALIS.

  • Identification of risk and development mitigation plans.

  • Support ALIS software release activities.

  • Setup user accounts with different levels of software/data access.

  • Maintain mission planning data/databases.

Key Management

  • Perform cryptographic key loading tasks

  • Audit cryptographic keys

  • Logistics experience

  • Familiarity with Lockheed Martin products and processes, to include the JSF ALIS hardware and software
