Visionworks is recruiting for a qualified, friendly, team oriented candidate to join our staff as an Eyewear Manufacturing Supervisor (Lab Supervisor). The Lab Supervisor will Direct Lab to drive retail sales through the supervision and performance of lab operations to keep within our core value of Quality-- by producing eyewear that is accurate to prescription, ready as promised, and meets our 7 Point Quality Verification", ANSI and Visionworks tolerance standards

Essential Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Routinely verify that all options purchased by the customer are delivered as promised
Assist in recruiting, selecting and training of all lab associates on lab equipment and Lab Certification Program techniques as they progress through required certification steps
Ensure and verify all lab equipment is calibrated and maintained through maintenance checklists; lens inventory procedures are followed; and lab expenses are kept at within budget. Address equipment malfunctions immediately
Communicate and work to achieve store goals with lab associates on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Routinely check work orders
Assist in controlling inventory shrinkage through the monitoring and recording of breakage, defects, exchanges, receipts, inventory levels and supplies
Schedule lab associates in compliance with payroll guidelines while considering skill levels and customer demands
With the support of the General Manager and/or the District Technical Manager conduct lab associate performance appraisals, and coaching / counseling meetings when expectations are not achieved
Ensure that all Company safety rules and standards are followed in accordance with the Hazardous Communication Policy to include internal handling and waste disposal
May act as supervisor of overall store operations in absence of a Retail Supervisor and/or General Manager
Embrace and promote Company Culture and Code of Business Conduct

Qualified Candidates will possess the following:

High School Diploma/GED, some college
5+ years of related production supervisor or retail management experience
Prior management/optical experience preferred
Bilingual Preferred
Communications, interpersonal and negotiation skills
Must meet all Lab Certification requirements--lab training provided
Favorable result on Background Check
Must have own vehicle and be an insured, licensed driver in current state of residence
Able to work a varying schedule to include: days, nights, weekends and holidays
Perform additional duties as needed

This is a part time position with a weekly average of 24 hours/week. Responsibilities * The Events Specialist is responsible for completing in-store food and non-food presentations by serving, demonstrating, and selling products in a fun, friendly and engaging manner. * Properly set up and prepare events cart and use small appliances to prepare and serve food samples. * Proactively engage, interact, and sell products to the consumer in a positive and friendly manner. * Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the requirements of the job. Tattoos must not be visible while the associate is engaged in their work assignments. * Maintain a clean, sterile and safe work station using cleaning supplies. * Build and maintain rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives. * Assists with preparation for client visits and completes audit corrections. * Accurately prepares and submits all on-line requirements on the same day as Event execution. Qualifications * High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Basic computer and internet skills and daily access to a PC with internet and email access. * Specialized knowledge, license, etc.: Food Safety Training & Protocol provided; Local Food Handlers permit may be required. * Physical demands: stand up to 3 hours at a time without a break; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms (including reaching overhead); talk and hear; visual ability to read instructions and perform events; stoop; kneel; crouch; climb (including use of a 6' ladder); balance; lift and carry up to 25 pounds (including occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds); push and pull a wheeled demonstration cart weighing up to 300 pounds fully laden with appliances, supplies and product; prepare foods and beverages using the required appliances, such as cooking utensils, knives, convection oven, fryer, coffee maker, electric fryer, microwaves and hot oils; be in contact with cleaning supplies. Depending on club location you may also be required to work with the following products: * Orange Juicer: demos require routinely lifting of up to 50 pounds * Pineapple Corer: equipment contains sharp edges * Tortilla Maker: exposure to heated and pressurized equipment This role is not expected to exceed more than 25 hours per week, although the company does maintain the discretion to change the role based on the needs of the business and/or the client.
