Develops, implements, and learns from personal training and development plans
Operates blender, resin dryer, 4.5 extruder, take-off tower, die, slitter, trim winder and film winder
Start up and shut down equipment including pre-start up safety interlock review
Keep extruder fed with resin mixture by accurately calculating formulation, adding, blending and drying the batch resin components
Observe and adjust process parameters in ensure proper film thickness, sheet width, film quality and roll put-up
Diagnose, correct and document processing problems on process run condition reports
Record process and product information, test samples, complete order paperwork
Make quality judgments about film produced
Effect basic die and extruder maintenance, including teardown and reassembly of the extruder screw and die
Work safely with cutting tools and hoisting equipment
Maintain good interaction and teamwork with supervisor and co-workers
Give assistance to co-workers to expedite changeovers
Keep production area clean, operator workstation and all tools on 5s tool boards
Conduct/ document daily fork truck inspection and safely operate fork truck as needed
Ensure that safety and health concerns are given primary consideration in all activities
Participates in required near hit, JSBO and JSA activities, performs interactive safety training, and always wears personal protective equipment (PPE)
Follows company guidelines and actively participate in all safety processes
Carry out job/area specific housekeeping duties and maintain a high standard of professionalism
Look for, report and correct any near hits/ unsafe conditions or behaviors as soon as possible
Produce quality materials to be distributed to customers/ clients
Completion of accurate job orders helps build customer satisfaction and confidence
Maintain production volume and efficiency identifies needed change and makes recommendations --- finds solutions
Troubleshoot mechanical issues, requesting supervisor assistance when needed
Must be willing to work shifts
WHAT YOU OFFER
Experience in the extrusion of TPU or PC films.
3+ years in a manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of computers and proficiency with software applications
Fork truck certification.
Hoisting and rigging experience.
Working knowledge of SAP
