Extrude quality product in an efficient manner (checking product every 30 minutes, making necessary adjustments to run product to target)
Conduct quality in-process checks and document correctly
Inspect the product to guarantee all required quality standards are met. This would include correct shape, color, size and density
Adjust weigh belts as needed
Ensure proper topical ingredients are being used and applied at the specified rates
Set-up die plates and knife heads
Conduct efficient changeovers as specified to the production schedule
Minimize start-up and change-over times working as efficiently as possible
Communicate with batching control room operators
Dumping ration and fines carts
Keeping area and equipment clean
Sanitize equipment according to plan
Transfer responsibilities from shift to shift

Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility.
Must be able to perform physical job duties including bending/stooping, climbing ladders, open/close valves, shoveling and pounding with hammer
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
Must be able to work under special work conditions, such as extreme heat or cold
Ability to work in elevated areas
Must be able to operate machinery
Must be able to operate heavy equipment
Must be able to read/write English
High School diploma or Equivalent
Ability to work overtime
Ability to work holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts
Able to perform physical job duties including work in confined spaces
Basic computer skills
Prior experience in production related work
