Hours Per Week:
8 hours per day / 5 days per week
Assess patients' nutritional status and develops and implements appropriate diet and nutritional therapies.
Assess patients' nutritional status and diet history and screen for potential risks. Assess support orders and recommend appropriate therapy.
Perform lab tests
Implement appropriate feeding, diet and nutrition support and monitor patients response. Make appropriate recommendations for intervention if necessary.
Educate patients and their families on nutritional needs and diets.
Calculate and chart nutrient intake records and calorie counts.
Interact and coordinate with nurses, physicians, and other hospital staff as required to ensure optimal patient care.
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in dietetics or nutrition or a related field is required. A minimum of 1 year clinical/ practical experience.
Registered Dietitian with the American Dietetic Association and licensed Nutritionist in the state of IL required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience using electronic charring.
