Description:

Assess patients' nutritional status and develops and implements appropriate diet and nutritional therapies.

Duties:

  • Assess patients' nutritional status and diet history and screen for potential risks. Assess support orders and recommend appropriate therapy.

  • Perform lab tests

  • Implement appropriate feeding, diet and nutrition support and monitor patients response. Make appropriate recommendations for intervention if necessary.

  • Educate patients and their families on nutritional needs and diets.

  • Calculate and chart nutrient intake records and calorie counts.

  • Interact and coordinate with nurses, physicians, and other hospital staff as required to ensure optimal patient care.

  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in dietetics or nutrition or a related field is required. A minimum of 1 year clinical/ practical experience.

Registered Dietitian with the American Dietetic Association and licensed Nutritionist in the state of IL required.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Experience using electronic charring.

VIEW JOBS 12/1/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-01T00:00 Job Overview This position is responsible for preparing and cooking cafeteria meals for hotel team members as well as ensuring the cafeteria is clean, presentable and in good working condition. Cafeteria is open from 11:00am-7:00pm and serves up to 250+ people per day. Essential Functions * Maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas * Meet with Lead Cook/Sous Chef to review assignments, anticipated business levels, changes and other information pertinent to the job performance * Prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guide * Communicate any assistance needed during busy periods to the Sous Chef to ensure optimum service to guests * Inform Lead Cook of any excess items that can be used in daily specials or elsewhere * Maintain proper storage procedures as specified by Health Department and Hotel requirements * Minimize waste and maintain controls to attain forecasted food cost * Review status of work and follow-up actions required with the Head Cook before leaving Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate or Bachelor Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience preferred. * Minimum 1 year experience cooking in a commercial kitchen, preferably in a full-service boutique or luxury hotel environment with large events of varying specifications. * Prior experience in cafeteria or large-format food preparation preferred. * Must display ability to work with general computer operations and inventory systems * Must be able to communicate professionally in English, both written and verbal. * Conversational abilities in other languages helpful. * Must be able to move throughout crowded kitchen areas. * Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs on occasion; must be able to push/pull cart of up to 50 lbs. * Must be able to multi-task and display ability to recognize that the guest interests and needs are always primary. * Must be available to work a flexible schedule including mornings, afternoons, weekends and holidays as business dictates.
