Job Description

We are looking for a Manager of External Reporting. This position operates as the primary point of contact for preparation and filing of our financial statements with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

  • Manages the preparation of our external financial statements filed with the SEC.

  • Manages the preparation of 8-K periodic reports filed with the SEC.

  • Serves as a key participant in the preparation of quarterly earnings press releases and the associated conference calls.

  • Presents to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors as it relates to external financial reporting.

  • Research and document accounting positions / policies based on GAAP and various regulatory literature.

  • Creates analysis to support corporate objectives and management decision-making.

  • Builds and maintains relationships with both internal and external groups in order to facilitate the external reporting process.

  • Provides a high level of customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Establish and monitor controls to evaluate and achieve the highest levels of performance in corporate accounting.

  • Key contact for the external auditors as it relates to our quarterly and annual financial statements.

  • Serves as a key representative on project teams and other work groups as assigned; especially as it relates to researching and completing complex or unusual transactions that impact the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, accounting, general business, tax, statistics or a related field is required.

  • 8+ years of progressive responsibility in accounting.

  • Requires the capacity to work with peers, external auditors, and management.

  • Considerable knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, internal controls and regulatory rules/regulations is required.

  • Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite and other applications is desirable.

  • Demonstrated informal leadership preferred. Demonstrate effective and flexible verbal and written communication skills, teamwork and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated advanced level of technical expertise and independent decision making. Demonstrated initiative, ownership and accountability.
