JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
This position assists in the goals and efforts of the Horticulture State Extension Unit and contributes to the research, development, communication, marketing, and presentation of the team's initiatives. The primary focus is Green Industry and integrated pest management in Bucks County with a supporting role in Delaware, Montgomery, Lehigh and Northampton Counties.
The individual will collaborate closely with University Park-based faculty to conduct applied research. This position demonstrates proficient and comprehensive knowledge of horticultural practices, and delivers such knowledge in trainings, educational programs, field visits, group meetings, displays, news articles, and other extension activities. The position will also provide instruction for the regional Master Gardener programs.
Typically requires a Master's Degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties.
A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks. Review of Applications will begin January 15, 2021
