The Contra Costa County Office of Education provides a full range of services designed to meet the needs of students with disabilities from birth to age 22 throughout the county. Classroom settings include fully integrated sites on regular school campuses, community-based instruction and special centers.

By offering a range of settings, the programs can address students' individual education needs. Instructional Assistants assist teachers in a comprehensive learning environment, including a highly structured behavior management system, while assisting the students with communication, self-help, vocational and academic skills as necessary.
