TITLE: TEACHER

NAME OF POSITION: DISTRICT ASSESSMENT GRADING

NUMBER OF POSITIONS AVAILABLE: 6

LOCATION:

DISTRICT OFFICE: 92-53 Springfield Blvd, Queens Village, NY 11428

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

LICENSED AND APPOINTED NYCOE TEACHER HOLDING A NYS COMMON BRANCH, ELA, OR MATHEMATICS CERTIFICATION.

SELECTION CRITERIA:

Demonstrated ability to address learning gaps in ELA and Math; Ability to create tasks aligned to NYS Standards in ELA and Math; Ability to analyze student work using standards-based rubrics; Ability to use instructional strategies to support phonics development and in both ELA and fluency in Math; At least three (3) years of satisfactory (Highly Effective/Effective) experience within the NYCDOE.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Unpack NYS Standards to identify what students need to know and shoe to demonstrate mastery; Create standards aligned tasks with exemplars and rubrics; Develop Analyze student work to determine gaps in student learning; develop instructional strategies to address learning gaps.

WORK SCHEDULE:

40 hours on Monday through Thursday as needed after school; May also include Saturdays as needed.

Hours up to, but not limited to the approximate number of hours listed. Additional hours may be granted upon the approval of the hiring manager.

SALARY:

Per Session rates as per the relevant union/organization of the advertised title (Collective Bargaining Agreement). Contingent upon funding availability and programmatic approval.
