JOB INFORMATION: An examination will be given to fill the current vacancy and any other Extended Day Programs Specialist II vacancies that occur during the term of the eligibility list.

SUMMARY: Extended Day Programs Specialists II provides direct site supervision of programs and is available to staff, parents, children and site personnel in the performance of program requirements. Provides direct oversight and instruction of elementary and middle school age children, educational exercises for parents, and partial leadership over Specialists and Aides in the performance of program requirements. Providing meaningful learning assistance and recreational activities for children attending a qualified day care facility.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: The position typically requires an Associate Degree that includes 24 units of curriculum in child development, education, recreation, physical education or related program.

Requires two years of experience in a pre-or-school age child enrichment program or day care setting. LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES: May require a valid driver's license.

Requires Site Supervisory Permit or equivalent issued by the California State Commission for Teacher Preparation and Licensing. Requires a valid first-aid and CPR certificate. WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed indoors and outdoors with minimal exposure to health and safety hazards, yet some exposure to communicable diseases. GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Manages the grounds services provided at a cemetery or funeral home location(s). Performs all grounds keeping and maintenance matters on the properties and maintains the overall appearance of a cemetery, mausoleum or funeral home location. Specific Responsibilities * Mows grass, plows snow, waters lawns, fertilizes and trims shrubs, tends flower beds and regularly inspects assigned work areas to insure proper standards are maintained. * Operates lawn and grounds equipment including push and power mowers, snow blowers, weed eaters, leaf blowers and other related power equipment. * Removes debris and trash from grounds. May include turning down vases and removing wilted flowers * Participates on teams in openings and closings for interments, entombments and inurnments. May perform disinterment. * May determine the location and layout of individual graves with assistance, complying with Company Interment Verification procedures. * May perform minor repairs to the cemetery and / or building systems. * May perform some of the duties associated with cremations such as maintaining inventory and complying with federal and state cremation regulations. * Observe safety rules and ensure compliance with the operating procedures of corporate, federal, state and local regulations, including OSHA regulations and Safety and Environmental guidelines. * May assist in moving and installing burial vaults. * Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements & Qualifications Education: * High school education or equivalent Experience: * Minimum 6 months relevant experience Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Ability to operate hand-held tools and equipment, including, but not limited to, a shovel, pick, rake, sledge hammer, lawn mower, weed trimmer and leaf blower * Ability to accurately use measuring devices (i.e. tape measure, yard stick, etc.) * Ability to communicate effectively with fellow associates, contractor personnel and client families * Ability to operate equipment in a safe and careful manner * Ability to effectively work with others to accomplish tasks * Ability to work in extreme weather conditions * Basic computer skills to enable retrieving and responding to email communications SCI Overview Who we are.
