Summary

Principia is looking for an Extended Childcare Assistant. Reporting to the Extended Care Program Director, you will play a critical role in assisting in after-school and summertime childcare programs. This is an hourly, on-call position (August

• June). Hours vary throughout the year:

• After School Hours: 3:00 p.m.

• 5:30 p.m.

• Teacher In-Service Days: 8:00 a.m.

• 5:00 p.m.

• Summertime Discover Hours: 8:00 a.m.

• 5:00 p.m.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assists in implementation of engaging and creative activities; supervises students during playground and snack

• Contributes to a welcoming, clean, organized, and structured atmosphere for parents and children

• Promotes spiritually based foundation through program elements and individual interactions; holds students to right actions

• Works effectively and collectively to nurture and support the wide range of interests and needs of the children

Minimum Qualifications

• Student of Christian Science; if not, then values-aligned

• Experienced character educator

• Experience caring for preschool-aged children

• Must be 18 years of age or older
