Location/Division Specific Information: Madison, WI

This position is part of the Materials and Structural Analysis Division (MSD). The Materials and Structural Analysis Division provides instruments, accessories and other products for spectroscopy and material analysis in lab, line, and field applications.

How will you make an impact?

The Transportation Analyst will be a responsible for processing export shipment for spare parts and system orders for the Molecular Business Unit in Madison, WI. This position is responsible for ensuring all related export documentation is processed and adherences to applicable U.S. and non-U.S. laws and regulations pertaining to international trade as well as ensuring compliance with TFS corporate policies. The Molecular Business Unit is a leader in spectroscopy instruments, software and accessories for various markets including academic research and teaching, quality assurance in industrial settings, life science and material science.

What will you do?

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensures day-to-day activities of all exports for spare parts and system order for the business unit.

  • Coordinates and processes all documentation shipments for all international shipments.

  • Completion of all daily manifests for the export team.

  • Process orders with in SAP system and within on-line websites for various transportation methods.

  • Ensure that proposed transactions are screened for Denied Person and Entities, restricted end-users, and diversion.

  • Submit and/or audit AES submissions.

  • Externally, maintains relationships with personnel of the transportation service under contract and other couriers.

  • Assigns, schedules, monitors and reports progress on all tasks assigned.

  • Projects and other duties as assigned.

Specific Scope Data

  • Approximately 50 to 75 international shipments weekly.

How will you get here?

Education

  • Associated Degree in Business Management or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

  • 2-5 years' import export logistic experience preferably in a high tech environment.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. Import and Export Compliance with the ability to read and interpret government regulations

  • SAP Experience Preferred.

  • Experience in utilizing various portals for processing international shipments.

  • Skills to deal with multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Demonstrated communication skills

  • Good organization skills.

  • Strong PC skills (MS Office)
