Summary: We are seeking an Export Coordinator to join our Export & Sales organization. This position will report directly to the Export Manager. In this role, you will prepare export documentation and labeling following Compliances for the assigned Regions. You will be a liaison between customers, suppliers, and transport companies to ensure an efficient operational service is provided. You will also act as backup support for other team members when needed.
Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:
Process export documents from start to finish
Use the most appropriate method of communication when working with customers
Liaise with customers to obtain information to ensure correct measures are in place and all customer needs are met
Liaise with Customers, USDA and Operations' Departments ensuring all documents are prepared and received within the designated time frame
Obtain all necessary information to ensure correct measures are in place and customer needs are met
Liaise between Suppliers, Forwarders, and agents to obtain up to date shipment information.
Ensure customers are fully informed of the progress of their shipments
Provide transportation team with the relevant information to ensure customer delivery requirements are met
Ensure correct documentation is on file and act accordingly as set out in the instructions
Coordinate outside vendor documents (labels, inspections, halals, dairy cert., COO)
Review different documents for accuracy.
Any other duties as required by management for the smooth and efficient operation of the department
Skills Required:
Have experience working with export documentation is helpful.
Be a confident, organized team player.
Have a solid customer-service background.
Have experience working in freight-forwarding/logistics is helpful.
Be a proficient computer user, including the full Microsoft Office package
Be able to work in a busy environment, effectively prioritizing workload
Ability to make knowledgeable clinical assessments and judgments.
Must possess initiative and ability to work independently.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Excellent communication and relational skills required.
Must be adaptable and capable of absorbing new concepts and situations rapidly.
Must be a strong team player.
Must be able to prioritize, pay attention to details, perform tasks with a high level of accuracy.
Must be willing to learn everything about our business.
Highly Desirable Skills:
Export documentation experience is a plus.
Meat experience a plus, preferably beef
Previous experience in logistics, trucking, ocean, and air freight a plus
Bilingual is a plus

Normal Work Schedule:
The role will require flexibility in hours and some overtime.
Start time will be discussed but could be between 6:00 am - 7:30 am with end of shift being between 4:30 - 6:00 pm and some Saturday hours are required.
