Job Role Summary

The Exploration Services Procurement Associate has overall responsibility to drive value and efficiency and expand market advantage via end-to-end category management (from strategy to implementation), while ensuring operational integrity. This role supports Exploration activities world-wide, especially as it relates to Geophysical Seismic Survey acquisitions, processing, and data licensing.

Job Role Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a portfolio of agreements within the Exploration Services category

  • Process execution, full compliance with ExxonMobil controls culture

  • Support Category Specialist in development and implementation of category specific strategy and commercial guidance

  • Provide portfolio specific information to Category Specialist and other network Procurement Associates

  • Steward tactical Client relationship for key portfolio activities

  • Supplier relationship management

  • Identify business value and agreement rationalization opportunities within the portfolio

  • Ensure transactional efficiency of agreements (enterprise resource planning friendly agreements)

  • Active contribution in Category networks and use of category specific information

  • Support Procurement Associate work at other sites / regions as agreed with Category Specialists

Job Requirements

  • BS, MBA, MS in Engineering, Supply Chain, or other applicable business degrees

  • Strong analytical, leadership, negotiation and communication skills

  • A minimum of 3 years of contracting experience is required

  • A minimum of 3 years of upstream procurement experience is preferred

  • A minimum of 3 years of technical upstream experience is preferred

Preferred Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Category / commodity expertise

  • Experience in supporting or developing complex compensation structures (e.g. modifying time and material agreements to unit rate)

  • Experience supporting upstream activities

  • Experience working in a co-located fashion with supported clients

  • Procurement / commercial functional expertise

  • Understanding of client business and objectives

  • Familiarity with/Experience in Geoscience and Seismic Surveys

  • Leadership skills

  • Communication skills

  • Analytical skills / understanding of total system cost concept

  • Effective negotiation, advocacy and influencing skills

  • Knowledge of purchase to pay process including enterprise resource planning systems

  • Project planning / execution skills

Functions and Responsibilities * Strategic Sourcing -Utilize full suite of strategic sourcing tools to create the best outcome for Repsol from a Total-Cost-of-Ownership perspective: sourcing strategies, cost models and benchmarking, spend consolidation, supplier service models, market intel, category managers and central P&C group, negotiations, and stakeholder engagement. Work with Exploration stakeholders to create sourcing strategies and plans, scopes of work, and tendering documents. * Operational Procurement – Comply with established Norms and processes during the course of sourcing and supplier service processes. Utilize SCM systems (SAP, SGIA, SRM etc..) to create initiatives and awards, conduct tenders and evaluations, issue service orders and purchase requisitions / POs. Liaise with Contract Holders and Cost Controllers to ensure compliance and drive process efficiency. * Supplier Performance Management. Engage stakeholders and suppliers for driving supplier performance against contracted obligations and stakeholder expectations. Ensure stakeholder team anticipates and minimizes performance issues via creation, monitoring, and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs). When performance issues emerge, work with team to identify root causes and drives for efficient resolution of issues at hand by working across both internal and external stakeholders. * Market Intelligence- Use foresight to anticipate trends in key oil and gas spending categories within the area of operations; understand pricing structures, leading-edge rates, market tendencies to ensure market effects are captured or mitigated. * Inventory Management & Logistics – maintain inventory management process according to Repsol standards and prevent the acquisition of new extra inventory while ensuring utilization of existing inventory to achieve the best results for Repsol. Maintain tracking on required Goods and Services deliveries and manufacturing, using expediting processes as necessary. Ensure QA/QC is engaged and QA/QC obligations are executed as agreed during manufacture and job execution. Requirements * Over 4 years of upstream oil and gas experience, with at least 3 years in Supply Chain Management / Procurement & Contracts. * Well-versed in procurement and operations for offshore and exploration wells. * Four year university degree required, preferably in related discipline (engineering, business, supply chain, operations management).
