Your Mission

As a Senior Facial Technical Artist, you will help us design and advance our world-class facial animation tools suite that has been used to bring our actors facial performance to live with highly realistic animations.

The ideal candidate should have experience with fully realizing facial performance for games, film, or other media, with a solid understanding of all aspects needed throughout the pipeline, such as data acquisition and photogrammetry, facial deformation, rigging and skin & eye shaders. We are looking for someone who is passionate about bridging the gap between the creative animation teams and technical engineering teams to collaborate on ownership in achieving the best possible results on screen for our audience, and for the effectiveness of our development workflow and pipeline. • Help drive tech solutions for quality and workflow forward to achieve world class results for our players.

• Translate visual and performance goals into actionable tools, pipeline, and runtime needs.

• Understanding the current technologies in play to get the best out of them.

• Helping to build the pipeline to work on a large scale.

• Advising and researching new and emerging technologies and how they can be applied.

• Communicating and collaborating with internal teams to implement new technologies.

• Working alongside engineers and artists to help realize the creative vision of a performance.

Player Profile

Minimum Requirements:

• 10 +years of working with technologies under faces in games, film, or a similar field

• Working understanding of facial animation and scanning pipelines

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience

• Excellent Maya technical skills

• Strong knowledge of Python

• Good knowledge of shaders

• Team player with great communication skills

• Passion for games

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $46.73 - $86.49 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role's range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
