The Student Experiential Education Manager works to maintain the introductory and advanced experiential education for the UNM College of Pharmacy Office of Experiential Education (OEE). This includes managing rotation creation, matching, and assignment processes for the College of Pharmacy student body. This position must communicate, report, collect and upload preceptor availability for rotations, including site and course links. They must register students for pharmacy practice experience courses and report grades through University systems. They must prepare students for rotations, coordinating credentials and ensure other site requirements are current. The position is responsible for collecting and analyzing program data to develop and improve the experiential education program for the College of Pharmacy. This position frequently communicates with a diverse body of faculty, students, preceptors, regulators, and administrators, requiring developed organizations skills and professionalism.
Duties and Responsibilities
Supervises the Program Coordinator
Trains and orients students on Health Science Center and College of Pharmacy compliance requirements
Provide training to preceptors on important aspects of UNM College of Pharmacy's experiential program, including the experiential handbook, expectations of preceptors, use of the experiential management system, and student evaluations
In collaboration with the Director, maintain and update all forms related to Experiential Education policies and procedures including Title IX, Experiential Education Manual, and Catalog of sites/offerings
Assist with IPPE/APPE site visits and/or debriefs, including the completion and tracking of site visit forms for accreditation
Manage Experiential related software programs including CORE ELMS, Moodle, Exam Soft, Enflux, etc.
Initiating and assisting students with the intern license & pharmacist licensure application process
Oversee coordination of CPR/BLS certification classes, including renewals; may include coordinating with N95 mask fits
Monitoring IPPE/APPE capacity charts with site coordinators
In collaboration with the Offices of Student and Curricular Affairs, monitor student progression during didactics as it relates to Experiential Education rotations
Affiliation Agreements management: initiation and coordination of agreements and/or renewals in conjunction with Dean's Office and legal team
Assist in creating and maintaining accurate data for ACPE and UNM reporting
Track and audit compliance requirements to meet OEE's and Health Science Center standards
Maintaining and updating OEE's online presence and communications
Maintains preceptor faculty appointments through Loboweb and PICES
Facilitates student background checks through NM Department of Health (DOH)
Facilitates and submits student reimbursements through AHEC and other funding sources using Chrome River
In conjunction with the Director, develop and maintain partnerships that support the experiential program to foster the mission and vision of the College of Pharmacy
In collaboration with the Director, provide the leadership necessary to develop and implement effective outcomes for the experiential learning program
Collect, analyze, and report experiential learning program data to improve program outcomes
Contribute to the overall success of the University by performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Conditions of Employment Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; at least 6 years of experience 2 of which are management level experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates will be evaluated on the following work experience(s):
Bachelor's degree in Education, Health Care Administration, Public Administration, or similarly related field
3-5 years in a supervisory and academic or administrative position
Experience working in a higher education environment
Experience working in an experiential program office
Demonstrated ability to interact with professionals including: Pharmacists, PhDs, university faculty and staff, students, or alumni
A demonstrated ability to manage a complex workload; systematically prioritize and track of multiple projects and meet several corresponding deadlines
Managing high frequency of communications amongst many constituents and stakeholders
Experience with UNM platforms including Benner, Chrome River, Loboweb, PICES and Learning Central
