VCA Brookline Animal Hospital is a six doctor small animal, fast paced general medicine practice in Brookline, Massachusetts. We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care. Applicant must be a reliable self-starter and motivated by a challenging, fast-paced environment. Strong candidates will have experience, a positive attitude, a friendly demeanor towards both animals and people, will be detail oriented, have the ability to multi-task and can demonstrate the importance and understanding of high quality customer service and patient care. In this position you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Duties will include:
Client Relations and Education
Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong organizational skills.
Strong client relations and interpersonal skills.
Intermediate to expert computer skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Self-starter and team player.
The ability to integrate new information into problem-solving
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
The ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and be exposed to hazards associated with pets such as allergies, contagious diseases, noises, odors, bites, scratches, and animal waste.
Compassion for pets and people-as well as awareness and understanding of others' reactions
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Scheduling flexibility to include days, nights, weekends and holidays.
