VCA Capeway Animal Hospital is hiring a full time Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team!

Compensation: $18 - $20 / hour is based on skill set, experience, and licensure status (CVA)

Schedule: This position is full-time, 35-40 hours/week with a 4-day work week. This is a closing shift. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, you can expect to be off around 7:30 PM, Fridays around 6 PM, and Saturdays around 4PM. You would work every other Saturday, but you will receive an additional weekday off when scheduled on the weekend. You will have 2 set days off per week (Thursdays and Sundays) and the 3rd day off rotates when you work the Saturday.

What You'll Do

Whether you are a credentialed veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT) or technician in training, we want you to use the knowledge that you've invested your time and talent in. The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to:

Veterinary Technician Duties Include

• Physical examinations, patient assessment, and recovery

• Procedural anesthesia and monitoring

• IV fluid administration and CRI calculations

• Hands Free Radiology and diagnostic imaging

• Client communications and discharge
