Experienced Veterinary Assistant

VCA North Park Animal hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team.

The successful candidate will be an efficient, self directed worker that communicates well and understands how to work within a team.

In this position you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Duties will include:

• Client Communication

• Maintaining medical records.

• Patient handling and treatments

• Presenting treatments plans

• Cleaning between patients

• Filling prescriptions.

• Preparing surgical suite and surgical patients.

• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.

• Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for boarded and hospitalized pets.

Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The pay range for this position is $18 to $24 per hour.
