Job Description:

The Boeing company is seeking an Experienced Systems Design & Integration Specialist to join the team in Huntsville, Alabama.

This position is specifically for a Siemens Team Center Application Installation/Upgrade Deployment Specialist.

Position Description:

  • Key responsibilities will include: Install, upgrade, migrate, test and troubleshoot software components necessary for deployment of Siemens Team Center software environments to the Boeing Engineering community.

  • This position administers the Siemens Team Center application environments for Boeing Defense Systems (BDS).

  • The candidate will work across the organization and interact with a diverse range of people and systems.

  • We expect team members to demonstrate initiative for learning, adaptability to complex situations and exhibit a fundamental understanding of how IT application systems operate.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

  • A Technical Bachelor's, Master's or a PhD degree. (A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study).

  • Experience with UNIX or Linux scripting.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Experience & Skills):

  • Training and/or experience in the Team Center product data management system.

  • Experience with ITIL, portfolio management, or service management.

  • Experience administering and troubleshooting java application servers (Weblogic, Websphere, Jboss, etc.).

  • Linux server administration experience.

  • Experience using DevOps/CI-CD and supporting tools such as TFS, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Artifactory, Git.

  • Agile Software Process experience.

Typical Education/ Experience: Technical bachelor's degree and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.

VIEW JOBS 4/19/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-07-18T00:00 Associate Mechanical Engineer: Integration Design Experienced junior-level mechanical engineering position in the Huntsville Hardware Engineering group of the NGMS Central Region Engineering & Sciences (E&S) matrix. This position will support one or more projects performing design engineering for integration of Command and Control systems, such as radios, networks, antennas, and power equipment, in support of Department of Defense projects. These projects include anti-artillery systems, security and warning systems, air and missile defense components; installations in tactical wheeled and armored vehicles, aboard ships, or in operations centers; as well as associated support activities. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: * - Design of mechanical parts and assemblies, including 3D CAD modeling, 2D drawing drafting/review/revision/release, selection of components and materials * - Communicating with suppliers and customers to exchange technical information * - Collaborating with other functional areas on various aspects of product design/documentation, including procurement, production, logistics, or configuration management * - Hands-on troubleshooting, inspection, or assembly of parts/subsystems in support of prototyping, production, or test * - Performing engineering analyses, such as weight and center of mass, structural, transportability, or thermal; as well as authoring reports documenting them * - Creating and delivering engineering briefings or reports to support design review activities Basic Qualifications: * - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering * - 1 year of experience in design engineering, manufacturing engineering, or test engineering * - Training or familiarity with 3D parametric modeling using any industry-standard 3D CAD package * - Training or familiarity with 2D mechanical drawings * - Self-motivated and able to work productively and independently in a fast-paced environment * - Good attention to detail and follow-through * - Good time-management skills * - Good verbal and written communication skills * - Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance Preferred Qualifications: * - Experience with 3D parametric modeling using any industry-standard 3D CAD package, SolidWorks preferred * - Experience with engineering data management systems such as SmarTeam, TeamCenter, or PDM Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
