In pursuit of Boeing's research and business interests, the successful candidate will:

  • Work on leading edge technologies across the enterprise to develop, document, analyze, and test operational, functional, and environmental requirements of developed research systems

  • Provide high impact, creative solutions to complex technical problems

  • Provide critical support and independent review of the work of teammates

Candidate shall show recent demonstrated ability in one or more of the following areas

  • Advanced technology research & development

  • Maturing developed technology into higher order products/capabilities

  • Technology or product/capability development using agile development

  • Engineering laboratory operations

  • Large system assembly, integration & test, including requirements traceability culminating in requirements validation & verification

BR&T collaborates with partners/team mates on a number of cooperative R&D and development projects. This position will involve working closely with partners/team mates to leverage the joint expertise of our partners/team mates to create innovative technologies, capabilities and products. This position will require working up to 50% of the time at partner/team mate work sites who are located in SoCal. In addition, there may be occasional trips to other business locations located outside of California which will require business travel.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 5 year

  • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

  • 3+ years of experience in integrating mechanical and electrical subsystems into a larger system

  • 3+ years of experience generating and refining documentation such as process instructions, block diagrams, and bill of materials

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience supporting and organizing laboratory inventory/procurement is highly desired

  • Experience supporting maintenance of lab instrumentation is highly desirable

  • Top Secret or higher clearance is highly desirable

Typical Education/Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

SAIC is seeking an experienced Integration and Test engineer to provide systems engineering, integration and test, and technical support to the Space and Missile Systems Center, Directorate of Special Programs (SMC/DirSP). SMC/DirSP equips U.S. forces with space control systems to gain, maintain, and exploit space superiority. It directs the planning, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment of a complex and dynamic portfolio of space superiority capabilities of the highest national priority. The position requires an individual with expertise and extensive experience in technical programs, technical program management, systems engineering, integration and test, software intensive programs, agile software development, and specific experience working software development in an DevOps environment. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and team skills. In addition, the candidate will be expected to continually balance and adjust work priorities to meet short term work suspense and rapidly evolving customer needs. The position is based in El Segundo, CA. Key duties/responsibilities include: Providing expert advice to the program manager on technical progress of the program with an emphasis on integration, test, verification, and validation. This position assesses project objectives and proposes requirements allocation across the system(s), informs design trades, authors and manages systems engineering documentation (eg, technical writing), implements configuration management procedures, and reviews and assesses contractor design solutions to determine if they meet requirements and recommends alternative solutions as necessary. The position reviews and assesses contractor deliverables and test/validation/verification activities to ensure requirements are met. The position identifies development, integration, and test risks and notifies the program management team, develops assessments of contractor development, partners with the development contractor to guide integration and testing activities. Performs technical and independent technical risk assessment and evaluation of execution against the technical baseline. Monitors, reviews, and assesses I&T activities and documentation, and provides independent assessments, recommend procedural and system improvements and efficiencies. Assess viability from a programmatic and technical execute perspective. Develop technical requirements, develop test plans and procedures, oversee system and software integration, testing, verification, and validation activities. Provide technical and acquisition support to program milestone reviews to assess progress, issues, and support the meeting of mission requirements. #ICAF# Qualifications Required Qualifications: • Bachelors degree and nine (9) years or more of related experience; Master and seven (7) years or more of related experience.• An active TS/SCI clearance with willingness to consent to a polygraph examination.
