Boeing is seeking an Experienced Supply Chain Management Analyst Logistics Project Analyst to join its team in Renton, Washington.

This position is integral part of a significant supply chain transformation effort at Boeing and will be focused on our warehousing and supply chain function. It will involve project management and data analysis to determine solutions and improvements for existing operations and to assist in establishing the maintenance and tracing strategy for Supplier Returnable Containers across the supply chain.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Deploy demonstrated knowledge of math and analysis tools to construct data and decision models which lead to streamlined, safe, and efficient methods of material receipt, handling, storage, facility layout, and distribution operations, while including inputs from inventory planning, logistics, packaging, and transportation functions.

  • Function as Project Manager/Lead on a Continuous Improvement team to maintain a schedule, agenda, and records repository for the team.

  • Advocate for safe, high quality, and lean solutions and operations which incorporate reliability, maintainability, and availability into the design of operations and establish metrics which are indicators of success and indicate when adjustments must be made.

  • Collaborate with people from Boeing business units, Logistics Engineers, and other team members to follow a structured problem solving framework which addresses improvements in operations.

  • Participate in design of warehouse storage and handling layouts, specify equipment and materials required, collaborate with sourcing to procure, and develop cost models for warehouse projects.

  • Participate in implementation teams to start up new warehouses or improve existing facilities.

  • Performs research and analysis on processes, applications, system, and data to identify functional requirements.

  • Consult with customers to clarify and refine requirements. Interprets and translates requirements into problem definition.

  • Analyzes user issues and requests in assigned areas of responsibility by documenting, validating, researching potential solutions and dispositioning the service requests for resolution.

  • Executes analysis alone and with team members to measure current state and analyze potential solutions and report results.

  • Develops and executes plans and procedures to verify that the solution meets the requirements. Identifies and dispositions defects as required.

  • Assists in the development and execution of implementation plans.

  • Interacts frequently with inter-organizational personnel and external customers.

  • Participates as a Project Lead, including in the preparation and maintenance of documentation for assigned area of responsibility.

  • Assist in the development of the sustainment model.

Required Qualifications:
(Required Skills and Experience)

  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

  • 3+ years of experience in Program or Project Management from proposal through execution

  • 1+ years of experience in Logistics

  • 1+ years of experience in performing data analysis

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills including effective communication to build relationships with internal and external business partners.

  • Excellent analytic, project management and team building skills; must have a high degree of logic, initiative, self-organization, and creativeness

  • Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize in demanding environments with tight deadlines, balancing team and individual responsibilities

  • Warehouse layout, inventory slotting, and labor planning experience

  • Six Sigma or Lean certifications, Project Management experience or certifications

  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing

  • Experience in third party logistics

  • Experience with warehousing systems and technology including RFID and SAP

  • Experience with ordering and scheduling with external suppliers

  • Experience with container management and reusable packaging

Typical Education:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
