Candidates for the Experienced Registered Nurse position on the Oncology unit must maintain active RN licensure in the state of Maryland. Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited School of Nursing preferred. Associate Degree candidates may be considered, provided they are either currently enrolled, or will shortly be enrolled in an accredited RN to BSN program. Eighteen months of recent RN experience is required.

The Experienced Registered Nurse is responsible for:

  • Providing direct patient care based on the JHH nursing process, policy, procedures.

  • Providing leadership and direction to RNs promoting quality and excellence of care.

  • Promoting improvement in unit processes and systems to benefit patient care and achieve unit goals.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to establish working relationships with the multi-disciplinary healthcare team.

Baltimore, Maryland: The Johns Hopkins Hospital Pay Grade: RM The Transplant Coordinator is responsible for: * the coordination and total scope of care for a group of organ transplant recipients (actual or potential) or donors as they navigate though the evaluation of, preparation for, and/or life with a transplanted organ or having donated an organ or partial organ. * provision of patient care based on the nursing process, mentors others to promote quality and excellence of care * working collaboratively with and providing leadership for a multi disciplinary health care team to optimize performance * promotion of improvement in the transplant office and organizational systems to benefit patient care * incorporating and operationalizing goals and objectives of Hospital at site of patient care * collection and maintain data required for patient care, research and reporting to outside regulatory agencies * as needed call activities that may include organizing transplants and triaging patient problems * may assume office management functions as designate by the Nurse Manager COMPETENCIES: A. Education Baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited School of Nursing. B.
