POSITION SUMMARY: Experienced individual to drive and/or operate pavement marking equipment.



  • Lift, carry, load and unload construction items including pavement marking supplies, signs, etc.

  • Prepare, clean and sweep work area.

  • Operates and maintains thermoplastic striping equipment for the application of striping on roadways.

  • Operates a Striper Truck at low speeds while roadways are receiving paint striping/thermoplastic striping applications.

  • Lie out and install heat tape. Apply and remove temporary and permanent reflective tape.

  • Set up and remove construction signs and traffic control items at job site.

  • Operates and maintains equipment, both hand operated and motorized designed to remove pavement markings from roadway surfaces.



  • Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job site.

  • Clean grinders and paint machines.

  • Install, remove and reset delineators, signs, posts and supports.

  • Shop work which may include general maintenance and repair of equipment.

  • Perform other work related duties as assigned.

  • Travel from work site to work site (involves considerable overnight travel).

  • Will have to perform mechanical repairs on the equipment.

  • Other duties as assigned.

VIEW JOBS 2/22/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-22T00:00 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Works in the HSG or ISG line of business Ability to read and understand basic striping plans and perform needed layout including intersections markings. Ability to communication with contractor's rep., the field inspector, and all field personnel under your supervision. Ability to complete daily required paperwork. This includes accurately logging all yield conversions and verification of meeting required specifications * Lead and train crew members to perform essential pavement marking functions. * train all personnel in the operation and maintenance of all equipment * identify, design, and implement all current MUTCD, State, City, and local pavement marking and traffic control standards. This include the identification of incorrect applications in the plans and proper resolutions * Operate paint trucks, thermo, epoxy, grinder, saw and water blaster trucks and driving skills to install acceptable permanent pavement markings * Implement striping plans and perform needed layout including intersections markings * install Prefrom Plastic and Preformed Thermoplastic to job specification * operate and maintain all hand equipment including milling equipment * operate and maintain paint trucks * install temporary pavement markings * Follow all safety rules and regulations and wear proper safety equipment ( work boots ? 6 inch with safety toe, hard hat and safety vest) * Adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures * All other duties as assigned ?
