Our outpatient surgery center is a joint venture between the Resurgens Ortho Group and UPSI. We are currently seeking a medical records specialist to join our business office team. If you are someone with a strong sense of customer service and commitment to teamwork, we'd love to connect with you.

  • Minimum 1-2 years of hospital or medical records experience required.

  • Knowledge of The Joint Commission Standards

  • Ability to use time wisely in preparing work area to meet high-paced demand.

  • Show a genuine desire to work and improve the center as a whole.

  • Must be detail oriented.

  • Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional manner.

  • Must be able to adhere to hospital financial and admitting policies.

  • Ability to promote positive relationships with patients and staff.

  • Must know insurance verification and collection processes.

  • Must have problem solving and decision making skills.

  • Professional appearance.

  • Must demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and exceptional customer service skills.

We're currently hiring for the position of Medical Records Coordinator Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Meet physical and sensory requirements stated below, and be able to work in the described environment. * Identify and participate in process improvement initiatives that improve the customer experience, enhance work flow, and/or improve the work environment. * Assist in organizing and maintaining facility medical records system in compliance with Home Office, state and federal regulations. * Collect, assemble, check and file resident charts, as directed. * Ensure incomplete records/charts are returned to nursing services for correction. Job Requirements: * Candidate must have an active Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse licensure in the state of the position. * High school diploma or GED required or equivalent related work experience. * Practical knowledge of medical terminology and record keeping. * Effective verbal and written English communication skills. * Demonstrated basic skills in Microsoft Word and Excel navigation. * Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality. .
