Experienced Manufacturing Loader/Unloader

  • Load green product onto refractory for kiln firing; unload and transport product to next process following production work order specifications

  • Inspect refractory for damage or wear; replace when needed

  • Build load designs based on product requirements

  • Inspect parts to determine if product meets quality/ customer specifications

  • Stack and transport product via hand-truck, pallet jacks, forklift, crane, or hoist

  • Clean work area, machines, tools and equipment

  • Train incoming loaders to processes and procedures

  • Wears required personal protective equipment at all times in areas where mandatory

Job Requirements:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not necessary

Experience:

  • No experience necessary

Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to understand and act on verbal and written instructions

  • Basic math (addition, subtraction) and computer skills

  • Ability to identify bad product from good

  • Must exhibit attention to detail as well as excellent listening skills

  • Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds

This position supports the A320neo program office along with the manufacturing plants and engineering teams. The employee will work closely with cross-functional teams to improving safety, quality and cost. This position requires creativity, knowledge of current manufacturing processes, an ability to improve processes and good project management skills. Responsibilities: * Provide technical guidance related to Manufacturing processes during design reviews and change board activities * Work cross functionally with engineering, operations, supply chain and program leads to incorporate product or process changes * Develop and release successful projects and manufacturing methods that improve operational efficiency, reduce cost, and improve delivered quality * Implement product and process changes for purchased details and assemblies * Drive and coordinate manufacturing process improvements * Drive effective and timely solutions to technical problems in manufacturing and the supply chain * Create/Update Standard Process Instructions, Best Practices and Procedures * Lead/Support Continuous Improvement and Lean activities in the office and at various manufacturing sites to improve Quality/Cost/Schedule * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and influence across all levels of the organization and at remote locations Education / Certifications: * Bachelor's degree with 5+ years experience. * Aerospace, manufacturing / operations or automotive industry preferred. * Master's degree with 3+ years experience Experience / Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: * Well-versed in using SAP / TeamCenter to perform routine ME tasks Ex: Review/Create/Maintain Routing, BOM, SWCS and Tool Orders * Project management experience * Able to work without direct guidance or direction from others * Experience in resolving technical manufacturing issues * Experience with reviewing models in CATIA V5 * Knowledgeable in Aerospace Tooling Philosophies & Manufacturing Methods and Design for Manufacture and Assembly * Knowledgeable in materials and their properties and capabilities * Competent with MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint Nothing matters more to Collins Aerospace than our strong ethical and safety commitments.
