We have multiple opportunities for Experienced Electronics Technicians at our Flight Operations Facilities located in the High Desert region of Southern California near the Victor Valley and Antelope Valley areas.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Role of an Experienced Electronics Technician

  • Understand electronics technology and computer systems In this job, you will perform troubleshooting and repairs of ground and airborne electronic equipment. You will perform inspections, preventative maintenance, installation, configuration, operation, test and repair of various technical systems in accordance with established operating proceduresto ensure safety of flight.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and goodintegrity You will interface with internal and external customers and provide technical guidance and training on remotely piloted aircraft systems and maintenance practices. This job requires strict adherence to the use of technical documents, policies, procedures and sound maintenance principles.

  • Sound judgment and reasoning abilities This job requires you to diagnose technical issues on complex systems and correct malfunctions returning equipment to flightworthy condition. You will utilize your vast experience, knowledge and troubleshooting skills to determine solutions to routine and complex problems. You will assess equipment condition to meet mission requirements and contribute to a safe operating environment.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Typically requires educational training equivalent to the completion of a two-year technical degree or trade school equivalency as well as two or more years of experience in electronics, technology or aviation diverse experiences welcomed. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.

  • Ability to analyze data, troubleshoot complex problems and recommend solutions, and perform a variety of non-routine tasks demonstrating considerable knowledge of electronic industry standards.

  • Ability to apply good analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to accurately assess, document and report equipment condition, maintenance actions and operational status.

  • Ability to apply personal integrity, sound reasoning and judgment to ensure a safe work environment and flight safety.

  • Must be able to read and interpret technical publications, engineering instructions, schematics, drawings, and blueprints.

  • Must possess the ability to use standard electronic test equipment and specialized instruments to test and repair ground and airborne electronic equipment.

  • Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.

  • Must be capable of walking long distances and standing for extended periods of time (2-3 hours at a time).

  • Ability to work in extreme hot and cold weather conditions.

  • Ability to crawl under aircraft as well as to climb/stand on ladders for extend periods of time (2-3 hours).

  • Position requires frequent bending, kneeling and twisting.

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Deployable A&P Specialist in our Flight Operations division based out of Palmdale, CA. Employees in this role must be able to deploy both CONUS and OCONUS in support of Company projects. Employees in this role enjoy a Flex deployment rotation schedule while maintaining full benefits. Flex employees work only while deployed or in a training status, receive deployment compensation, and may live in any state. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Works under general supervision providing technical support for the mechanical installation, troubleshooting and inspection on MQ-9 and MQ-1A unmanned aerial vehicles. * Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on unmanned aerial vehicles including removal and replacement of airframe components as needed including aileron servos, flap servos, brake servos, landing gear servos, throttle servos and waste gate servos requiring long periods of standing, walking, bending and lifting up to 50 lbs. * Incorporates any approved configuration changes and other modifications into all aircraft as needed per company approved and/or government technical order requirements. * Interfaces with customers, military and civilians, and understands the discipline required to maintain aircraft and associated equipment as a contractor. * Provides flightline and ground support to include towing, fueling, defueling, launch and recovery of aircraft. * Inspects airframe, powerplant, and propeller components at regular intervals per company approved procedures and/or government and customer technical order requirements. * Certifies aircraft records that aircraft are in a condition safe for flight. * Repairs fuel and oil leaks or engine problems as needed. * Assists in the testing, maintenance and operation of ground support equipment. * May require extensive CONUS or OCONUS deployment travel. * Performs other duties as assigned or required. Job Qualifications ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: * Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent and two or more years of aircraft mechanical maintenance experience, including one or more year(s) of product related mechanical knowledge. * Requires an FAA Airframe and Powerplant License. * Requires qualification on MQ-9 and MQ-1A aircraft. * Qualification on Avenger aircraft preferred. * Must have a minimum of one OCONUS deployment of 90 days or more, supporting GA-ASI related products. * Must possess and maintain the appropriate customer security clearance. * Must possess, maintain and remain current on all additional training requirements. * The ability to pass a Deployment Medical Exam. * Must possess: (1) full knowledge and understanding of the detailed aspects of the job; (2) knowledge of relevant computer applications and operations; (3) basic leadership, organization and planning skills; and (4) strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with employees and both military and civilian customers. * Must be able to work both independently and on a team and be able to work extended hours as required.
