As an Experienced Electrical Estimator, you will work to help Kiewit create timely and accurate proposals for infrastructure projects throughout the United States and Canada.

Kiewit Infrastructure Engineers (KIE) is a multi-faceted and leading-edge division of our company that offers a variety of services, including, temporary and permanent design services for current projects and new project pursuits in the United States and Canada. Our design services group has offices in Colorado, Nebraska, Washington State, and Toronto, Canada offering expertise in structural, geotechnical, civil, drainage, roadway, and materials disciplines. Our engineering group is responsible for managing engineering assignments in support of Kiewit's construction projects in both the United States and Canada. As part of the engineering group, you will have the opportunity to work with other structural and geotechnical engineers, members of our interdisciplinary engineering team, as well as estimators, schedules and construction experts to provide advice on construction methodology, risk and the design of temporary works.
This role will be based out of Kiewit's Englewood, CO (south Denver) office.
Review, analyze, and interpret Contract Documents (RFP, specifications, etc.).
Perform all tasks related to quantity takeoffs and pricing of design-build projects in the infrastructure market.
Manage a team of estimators to complete the estimate for a project.
Manage Electrical subcontractors and suppliers and evaluate price proposals
Coordinate with engineers/designers to provide constructability input and value engineering for preliminary project plans.
Participate in and/or lead Task Force Meetings, brainstorms, and working sessions with engineers/designers.
Identify, quantify, and communicate Risk throughout the estimating process.
Perform site visits and investigations as needed.
Must be willing to relocate to the Denver, CO area.
Degree in Construction Managment, Electrical Engineering or related degree preferred.
Broad knowledge and ability to understand project scheduling, cost control, specifications, and engineering drawings.
3+ years of construction experince with 2+ years of experince in estimating on infrastructure projects
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook Powerpoint)
Experince with InEight Estimate (HardDollar) preferred
Experince with CADD and 3D Modeling software preferred.
Possess strong mathematical and computer skills

Knowledge of construction methods, costs and techniques
