Contract Engineering Services has a great opportunity for a candidate with Construction Administration experience. Our client is an engineering consultant providing mechanical, electrical and other design services for their client’s various projects. Construction Administration Engineer functions:
• Interact with the client, design team, and contractor(s) to resolve construction issues expeditiously and efficiently
• Deal with critical construction issues over the phone and in person at job sites; conduct progress and coordination meetings to address any construction issues
• Review, respond, and track submittals, RFIs, and change orders
• Prepare revised construction documents to illustrate and document approved changes
• Participate in on-site verification of construction progress, coordination with the contractor and design team, and verification of Code compliance, as needed
• Manage multiple projects in the CA phase simultaneously
• Assist with advanced design and redline of drawings, details, diagrams and isometrics per company standards
Construction Administration Engineer
• Research and propose processes and procedures to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of production functions
• Personnel mentoring and development in conjunction with annual review goals - provide input to Sr. Operations regarding personnel performance
• Assist Accounts Receivable with reviewing of monthly billing for completeness and monitoring of goals
Construction Administration Engineer skills:
• Graduation from an accredited engineering curriculum and status as a licensed professional engineer, PE, is preferred
• Ten (10) years of engineering design experience with commercial buildings, HVAC, and Plumbing systems is mandatory
• Experience in field construction is strongly preferred
• Advanced knowledge of interaction between all construction disciplines and systems
• Able to read, write, and understand written and verbal instruction in English
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Revit experience
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on all projects to completion
WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Position may require travel and use of private vehicle
• Position may require work outside of an office setting regardless of climate
• Position may require working with site survey equipment, including ladders
