As a Procurement Supplier Manager, we are looking to you to be the primary category point person for supplier interactions, performance management, and negotiations. You will partner with internal partners to build comprehensive view of supplier performance for continued sourcing success. You will own the development and implementation of category strategies and projects related but not limited to cost reduction initiatives, supply base optimization, and contract negotiation. This is accomplished through building and maintaining supplier relationships to meet needs according to category strategies.

In this job function, it is meaningful for you to develop lasting contacts and positive industry relationships to gain the best pricing intelligence and provide expertise on industry trends, technology direction, supplier technical and commercial roadmaps and lead time trends. You will also understand the market position of each supplier for specific materials, assessing the financial stability of suppliers, and provide input and recommendations to Micron Management. This position also requires that you serve as the primary point of contact for resolving critical supplier issues and oversee internal communication related to common supplier issues.

Role Responsibilities & Tasks

Ensure Supplier Performance Management

  • Act as go to person for suppliers engagement

  • Build and maintain relationships with a wide variety of internal organizations (business owners, practices, departments) to understand current and future data needs and strategy for data in assigned functional area required to meet business objectives

  • Maintain collaborative and positive relationships with stakeholder(s) and supplier(s) while resolving supplier performance/capability issues

  • Perform commercial supplier qualification activities to ensure the commercial development of suppliers

  • Communicate key supplier management updates and decisions to multiple levels in the organization

  • Lead in organizing and delivering on strategic supplier events, such as Quarterly Business Reviews, Annual Supplier Evaluations, and Executive Review Meetings

  • Actively seek opportunities for process improvements

  • Lead conflict and build effective relationships with integrity, initiate and sustain effective communication with internal and external partners

  • Provide recommendations to senior and executive management on strategic decisions to positively influence strategic direction

Drive Negotiations and Strategies for Sustaining Purchases

  • Participate in supplier segmentation and strategic goal setting

  • Lead or participate in negotiations for contract changes

  • Develop a contract strategy for suppliers in assigned category and negotiate, monitor and implement contracted terms and conditions

  • Communicates and aligns strategy with stakeholders and Executives

  • Sets and executes multi-year strategy roadmaps based on business needs and supplier landscape.

  • Collaborates with Procurement Directors and Global Supplier Managers to coordinate approach to cross-category vendors

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Management or related degree

  • Min. 10 years supply Chain, or procurement experiences in Semiconductor/Foundry

  • IP (intellectual property) knowledge/experiences is a plus

The Sr. Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the commercial aspects of supplier management with Calix's manufacturing partners. He/she will lead the processes associated with the business terms of supplier contracts, including purchased price variance (PPV), excess and obsolete (E&O), and other activities where monthly reporting, validation, and negotiation are needed. This position reports to the Director, Supply Chain Operations. Responsibilities: * Track supplier inventory levels and projected Excess and Obsolete material liability. Forecast monthly exposure to management. Aggressively drive mitigation actions with suppliers and internally to reduce or eliminate liability for Calix. Manage and report inventory carrying costs with suppliers per contract terms. * Manage a robust PPV process with each supplier. This includes monthly reporting, tracking, coordination with commodity management, negotiation, settlement, and PO generation to the supplier. * Produce and manage monthly reporting requirements with suppliers and Calix management. * Set and achieve performance goals/metrics to improve overall OCOGS improvement and lower inventory exposure. * Drive Business Process Improvement initiatives both internally and externally with key suppliers to continuously improve organizational processes and tools. * Participate in quarterly business reviews * Understand and execute commercial terms per MSA (master services agreements) with suppliers. * Work with manufacturing, engineering, commodity management both at the supplier and within Calix. * Be recognized as global subject matter expert by business partners and a valued member of the team. Requirements: * Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years' work experience with commercial management of EMS and ODM partners * Solid problem solving and analytical skills. * Track record of influencing a driving impact with diverse set of functional stakeholders. * Excellent Microsoft excel skills, familiar with Agile. * Experience and thorough understanding of MRP. * Experience managing PCBA and mechanical assembly commodities. * Thorough price/cost analysis skills and first-rate financial analysis skills * Demonstrated capability to work collaboratively in a global work environment. * Excellent cross-functional team member skills with both internal and external resources. * Ability to define and implement new processes and procedures.
