We have an opening for two experienced Business Intelligence Analysts. These positions are located in Everett within the Architecture, Capabilities and Systems (AC&S) Business Intelligence & Analytics Team as well as the Enterprise Supply Chain Delivery and Performance team.

This role partners in the design of Business Intelligence information models, dashboards, metrics and reports utilizing standard technologies and methodologies that meet business objectives for internal quality, supply chain and operations customers. Combining basic programming, SQL skills, best practices and business expertise to deliver efficient and scalable Business Intelligence solutions to improve business productivity and business outcomes.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Partners with internal team leads in the evaluation and refinement of Business Intelligence goals, business objectives, decision support needs, data and performance requirements to meet departmental/project level objectives.

  • Analyzes data elements and business rules applicable to the business requirements and offers options for simple Business Intelligence information model solutions that satisfy the customer's needs.

  • Utilizes prepared data for Business Intelligence solutions including identification of missing information, quality and lack of quality to the data owners. Performs simple transformation of metadata for use. Organizes data for analysis appropriate for structured data.

  • Utilizes standard methodologies and technologies applicable for use. Leverages the best-fit Business Intelligence technologies, methodologies and visualizations given data and business requirement criteria. Provides input to the recommendation of information delivery options and methodologies.

  • Utilizes basic programming and database queries to implement scalable and efficient query models for simple to moderate complexity Business Intelligence solutions. Iteratively executes Business Intelligence models and development. Supports analysis to identify and understand an issue or event. Investigates evident issues through drill-down exploration and descriptive statistics. Utilizes best practices to improve productivity through automation and standardization.

  • Partners with internal team leads in evaluation and validation of quality performance on completeness of Business Intelligence models and solutions. Evaluates, validates and refines Business Intelligence solutions to meet business objectives.

  • Leads projects which provide performance visibility and enable Airplane Program Quality leadership to drive down production costs and quality costs.

  • Partners with internal team leads in determining whether stakeholder needs are met and business value is realized. Supports Communication and collaboration with business partners. Supports means of production and deployment (i.e. upgrades, testing, etc.). Delivers simple/routine decision support visualizations and reports, dashboards and/or metrics.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee

  • Technical bachelor's degree; a technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study

  • At least 1 year of programming experience in any language

  • Core competencies include: Visibility Dashboards and Metrics, Statistics, SQL, R, Python, Strong communication skills, Problem Solving, Root Cause Analysis, and Project planning

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Exposure to manufacturing environment

  • Experience with data mining and data visualization

  • Experience with scaled agile framework (SAFe)

  • Familiarity with SQL, R, Python, Tableau, and/or other analytics tools

  • Familiarization with Production Processes, Quality Management System and Processes, and experience developing Key Performance Metrics, Reviewing data and providing technical information and insights

Typical Education / Experience:

Technical bachelor's degree and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study.
