CREATIVE / Responsible for generating bold, innovative ideas and producing design, technology and content for our clients' marketing programs

Get ready to recreate existing technology to discover new uses for experiential builds and work with design-minded people to deliver innovative and exciting projects as an Experience Strategist on our Innovation team. You will closely collaborate with our Experience Manager and development team to create, produce, and execute interactive programs for our US and international clients. In this unique opportunity, you'll work closely with our technology experience strategy and creative teams to pitch and create interactive products and offerings we can execute for our international clients.   • Collaborate with design-minded (creative and technology) people

  • Support multiple web-based and interactive projects

  • Lead execution of full project lifecycle including project discovery, gathering of creative and business assets, testing and launching and project

  • Participate in discussions on responsive design for creative concepts

  • Grow into a technology leader demonstrating and understanding of mobile and wearable technologies and web-based APIs.

  • Coordinate discussions around emerging technologies and oversee third party partnerships Octagon has in place

  • Clearly discuss and explain your solutions with both technical and non-technical team members

  • Present work directly with clients

  • Experiential hardware tinkering for onsite set-up and installation

  • Understanding of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and related front-end technologies

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or 1-3 years' relevant experience in technology, design, or project management

  • Work with concepting/creative teams to build ideas to their full potential, using emerging technologies

  • Act as communication hub - both internally and externally - throughout all project phases

  • Stay on-top of the latest technologies and identify ways to apply them

  • Repurpose technology and uncover new ways to create fan experiences

  • Share new technology offerings to inspire the company

  • Become a technology leader with a point of view for Octagon

  • Concept innovation workshops with team members and clients

  • Previous agency experience is beneficial, though not essential

  • Project management or digital production experience

  • Experience activating or launching on-site experiential events

  • Maintain effective working relationships across client, agency and creative team

  • Assist Innovation team on vendor relationships to ensure satisfactory execution of work

  • Begins to gain general understanding of client's (internal & external) business and target consumers

  • Participates and contributes creative ideas, tactics and concepts during ideation sessions

The PCA team plays a vital role in the Discretionary Long/Short Equity business at the firm. Portfolio Strategists build collaborative relationships with portfolio managers, develop a deep understanding of each portfolio manager's investment approach, and use that comprehension to offer tailored, data-driven insights to portfolio managers and the firm's senior leadership. These insights help portfolio managers improve their portfolio construction and performance and help senior leadership improve their capital allocation decisions. The ideal candidate is smart, collaborative, articulate, and creative with strong quantitative and technical skills, expert knowledge of equities, and an ability to confidently communicate actionable recommendations to seasoned portfolio managers and C-level executives. Responsibilities * Build strong relationships and continually engage with portfolio managers to discuss and understand their businesses and investment approaches * Formulate expectations for each portfolio manager's unique risk and performance profile and proactively identify deviations from those expectations * Investigate portfolios and strategies to develop data-driven, in-depth comprehension of L/S investment processes, risk profiles, portfolio construction, and investor behavior * Conduct innovative and scientific research to identify and model macro and fundamental drivers of performance and risks * Develop analytics, quantitative tools, and an analytical framework to attribute performance, monitor risks, and evaluate portfolio construction * Identify and manage new datasets that support investment decisions and risk management processes * Deliver research findings and make recommendations to portfolio managers and senior leadership * Act as a collaborator and thought leader with various teams within the firm to create a holistic comprehension of the investment strategies and teams * Manage Quantitative Analysts responsible for analyzing data and researching and developing quantitative tools and techniques Many of the above tasks will require analyzing or directing the analysis of large structured and unstructured datasets, such as internal position and performance data, risk model data, fundamental data, and sentiment data, as well as running simulations and backtests.
