As an Experience Designer (UX/UI), you will be responsible for the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design of various digital products and features that solve consumer and business problems. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of product managers, engineers, analysts, and other user experience experts through the product lifecycle from ideation to market launch.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Participates in all aspects of the product design and development lifecycle including problem definition, ideation, wireframing, low and hi-fidelity mockups, interaction design, user testing, creation of design guides and visual assets and supporting agile development processes

  • Leverages design thinking and other user centric design methodologies

  • Independently and as part of the team creates user experience (UX) and user interaction (UI) deliverables for product features

  • Participates in UX research and testing activities including the creation of usability scenarios and scripts, and integrates results into new design iterations

  • Participates in the build versus buy approach for Design Systems and other design tools/assets that may be required during the product design process

  • Ensures Progressive's accessibility standards are considered throughout the product design process

  • Participates in projects/interactions with internal and external partners/vendors for design assets and resources

  • Manages the design of multiple product concepts simultaneously

  • Ensures seamless transition of project work to user experience peers and IT through implementation phase including the creation of visual assets required for development

  • Designs or provides design guidance for websites, emails, and other product marketing channels

  • Provides rationale for design choices; assures that designs meet business objectives

Must have qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience designing user experiences for digital products or services

  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 4 years of experience designing user experiences for digital products or services

  • Working knowledge of the following technologies and software: Sketch, InVision, Visio, HTML, CSS, iOS, Android, Design Systems, Adobe Creative Suite, and rapid prototyping tools

  • Expert visual design, technical, communication and presentation skills

  • Experience working with Agile development teams

  • Demonstrated team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to be open to and supportive of developing new ways of working with and supporting internal and external partners

  • Ability to lead and mentor staff to achieve tangible business results and outcomes

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use internal and external data and tools to make effective business decisions

  • Ability to analyze, develop and manage projects and initiatives

  • Demonstrated understanding of the product lifecycle

Position Summary Responsible for analysis, design, creation and maintaining UX design and research standards for customers in the Federal Reserve System. Create user flows, style guides, low- and high-fidelity prototypes, and design artifacts (wireframes, etc.) that work on various browsers and mobile platforms 2. Actively participates in all phases of the product lifecycle, including product ideation, user persona definition, requirement elicitation, cross-discipline UX design sessions, usability testing, and data analytics. 4. Applies fundamental design principles to products so they effectively use typography, color, composition, and space to present information. 5. Conceptualizes and articulates strong, user-centered interactions, while balancing the needs of the business and the capabilities of technology. 6. Remains current with new technologies, frameworks, and trends; advises the enterprise; and pursues the latest opportunities that will improve the UX. 7.
