CNC Machine Operator III (2nd and 3rd shift)
Set-up, check programs, operate and adjust automatic numerically controlled machine tools and/or CNC machining equipment to perform a complex series of progressive machining operations to meet precise tolerance and finish requirements.
Understand program format, work from detailed and involved part drawings and specifications defining and coding tooling, fixturing, machine arrangements.
Recommend tooling applications and operational sequence to assist in developing practical programming for new and unusual machining requirements.
Design and develop programs.
Use a variety of precision measuring instruments.
May set-up for and instruct Machine Operators of lower classification.
Recognize, report and correct errors.
Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Position: No
Work Environment: Well-lit machine shop with moderate noise. Staff members will need to be able to work while standing, sitting, bending, and climbing. Staff members will be occasionally lifting and working inside of machines.
High school diploma or its equivalent
Accredited apprenticeship or equivalent training (2 year degree)
Knowledge of machine shop practices, techniques, operations
Basic math, logical reasoning, and problem solving skills
Ability to lift 25 pounds
2+ years of experience
