Expeditor - Manufacturing

BBSI is currently accepting applications for Expeditors for our aerospace manufacturing client in SE Portland. Expeditors represent a key role in the production process, and work to ensure timely completion of projects and products.

Expeditors facilitate, coordinate, and document the progress of products through departments and product teams to ensure completion within deadlines. Day to day activities include duties such as the following:

• Assuring accurate and efficient movement of parts from one department to another or within a product team.

• Tracking, documenting, and moving test bar materials through production and inspection operations in order to meet shipping dates.

• Coordinating the splitting of lots per production needs - reissuing parts to new lots and/or combining lots for cost effective reworking.

• Maintaining records and performing data entry tasks.

• Assisting planning and shipping departments in preparing production schedules and reports.

Training for this position is provided on-the-job. We're seeking detail oriented individuals with experience in inventory management and production with a passion for quality results to join the team. Specific experience, skills, and qualifications we're looking for include:

• Understanding of product movement and manufacturing scheduling.

• Experience with computerized inventory systems.

• Data entry and organizational skills.

• Effective verbal and written communication.

• Basic math skills.

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record (required to drive company vehicles).

This position does work in difficult working conditions which may include exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, temperature extremes and other elements for extended periods of time.
