Supervisor: Executive Chef
Culinary training program graduate or equivalent on-the-job experience. Demonstrated ability to gather and organize food from the kitchen and pack it for transportation to event sites. The food expeditor will work with the Chef and Catering Team to ensure all orders are going out on time and that both the quality and quantity of food prepared is correct. Accordance with delivery timeline is essential. Working knowledge of industry software programs. Ability to relate well to staff, vendors and clients of different races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, socioeconomic backgrounds, and religions.
Preferred Education/Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Maintain Serve Safe certification
Understanding of HACCP and sanitation
Ability to work independently with broad guidance and to carry out necessary kitchen duties
Ability to manage the kitchen, deliveries and inventory control of all products.
Working knowledge of current office equipment and computer programs, including, but not limited to, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access.
Familiarity with state and local food health and safety requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Expediting, storage and handling of food and kitchen small wares;
Safely expedite food per HACCP requirements;
Correctly check food product for quality and quantity control based on items listed per event prior to expediting;
Check event menu against food to be delivered and alert Kitchen of any discrepancies;
Properly store product in expediting walk in and dry storage area until the time of delivery;
Report any malfunctions or repairs needed to refrigeration and food storage areas to VP of Operations;
Promptly notify Executive Chef and Operations Manager and Account Rep of late deliveries or any serious issues with the products;
Keep all areas of expediting clean, well-organized and properly maintained at all times;
Maintain all food temperature logs;

Maintain communication with other department staff regarding clients status/needs.
Participate in departmental team meetings.
E. Other duties as assigned
