The Expeditor assists in dispatching and coordinating the movement of products through the various operations in the manufacturing build sequence of intelligence, surveillance, and imagery processing high performance data link systems and products for L-3 Communications - the sixth largest defense contractor in the United States.

This position is pivotal in creating a balance between customer demands and production levels. Collaborates with multiple departments within manufacturing and operations to reach company's production goals. Assisting Commodity Support with daily tasks which include pick-up and delivery of parts and movement of product to the appropriate destination.

  • Coordinates and expedites orders between work cells to maintain the production schedule

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis

Experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.

This position may be filled at a higher grade based on the successful applicant's skills, education and experience.

Due to the nature of our work qualified candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

This is a dynamic role where you will be a key part of our Warehouse Team with objectives including: * Supporting: Checkers, Freight Runners, Loaders and Order Selectors as needed. On a normal night you might * Check all pallets of product for correct amounts, manufacture numbers, product discrepancies * Responsible for getting shorts to proper pallet location * Ensure all cases are placed on proper pallets and proper routes * Manage dock flow * Work in different temperatures (-10 0, 80 0, room temperature) * Wrap pallets when done checking them * Keep assigned dock area clean and organized * Notify Order Selectors when discrepancies are found An ideal Warehouse team member: * Is at least 18 years old * Has experience operating Electric Pallet Jack and/or Forklift * Ability to perform work in a safe manner so as not to cause harm to self, equipment, product, and others * Ability to work flexible hours including holidays and Sundays and overtime * Basic math and computer skills * Computer, Phone, Fax, Copier, 10-key experience is preferred * Ability to lift 25-75 pounds repetitively * Communicates and works well with others and promote a positive company image Hourly Pay Rate: * Hourly pay rate is determined by location Benefits: * Medical, dental, vision insurance * 401k with match * HSA with employer contributions * Wellness program with premium incentives * Tuition reimbursement up to $4,000 per calendar year Nicholas Salt Lake City UT
