3 Professional References The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus 48 units from an accredited college or an Associate's Degree, or higher. One (1) year of experience working with children 4 years of age through 12 years of a classroom setting and one (1) year experience in supervising adults preferred.

Job Summary

Summary Under the direction of the Expanded Program Manager and Administration, the Site Supervisor coordinates and implements Expanded Learning Programs at the assigned school site; communicates with parents, staff, and others to provide information on program activities, student progress, or related concerns; collaborates with the Program Manager to provide input in instructional support, training, and work direction to assigned staff. This position description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, knowledge, or abilities associated with the classification, but is intended to accurately reflect the principal job elements.

Distinguishing Career Features The position requires competency in elementary subject matter and the ability to organize engaging activities for different age groups in both recreational and learning environments. Abilities Organize and implement a variety of extra-curricular activities for students. Encourage active involvement and investment of students, schools, volunteers, and the community.

Requires the ability to oversee students and adults and utilize problem-solving processes with individuals, or small groups. Physical Abilities Requires the ability to actively monitor and engage with students both indoors and outdoors. Requires near visual acuity to read and write printed materials and computer screens.

Requires hearing and speech ability for ordinary and telephonic conversation, speaking to small groups of children, and hearing sound prompts from equipment. Requires the ability to move about school facilities and school-sponsored events without difficulty. Requires basic computer skills and familiarity with web browsing, Microsoft Word, and other programs/software that help facilitate projects/activities for the students.
