Position Title Expanded Intravenous Therapy for the Licensed Practical Nurse Instructor- Adjunct Job Description
As an Instructor for Iowa IV Therapy for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), your primary responsibility is to facilitate educational programs focused on intravenous (IV) therapy for LPNs seeking certification in Iowa. You will provide instruction, guidance, and support to LPN students as they develop the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and effectively administer IV therapy in accordance with state regulations and best practices.

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Iowa, with a minimum of four years of clinical experience in IV therapy.
Certification as an IV Therapy Nurse (IVTN) or equivalent credential demonstrating expertise in IV therapy.
Well versed in the Iowa Board of Nursing regulations, standards and "best practices".
Strong knowledge of IV therapy principles, pharmacology, and evidence-based practice guidelines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate adult learners from diverse backgrounds.
Proficiency in instructional technology and educational resources for delivering blended or online learning experiences.
Commitment to fostering a culture of continuous learning, professionalism, and excellence in nursing practice.
Flexibility to accommodate varying schedules and locations for classroom.

Physical Demands
This position requires the instructor to appear on campus for lecture including IT manipulation, lab demonstrations and to assist learners with IV lab skills. Handling of artificial arms, gathering and returning IV supplies to supply cupboard.
